When it comes to being a light in this world, and letting mankind see our good works, so that they may glorify the Father which is in heaven, ( Matthew 5:16). It not only comes down to what we "do"before the world, it also involves what we "don't do" as well. We read these words in the book of ( Ephesians 5:11)" And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them"...we cannot reprove the world with our "lips", if we are not shining with our "lives". It is not just a matter of the things we say and do, but also the things we don't say and do, that makes us lights in this dark and dying world.

When it comes to living Godly, we are talking about our relationship with our God, and spending time with the Lord in prayer, and his Holy Word,our love for him then increases as a result of our worship. When it comes to living a righteous life, we are talking about our relationship with mankind, that is loving others as God would have us to love them.That is why our Lord gave that great command in (Matthew 6:33)" Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness)... We are to first seek having the right relationship with God ,which results in our living Godly, and then having the right relationship with mankind, which will happen when we have the right relationship with our God. If we love God, we should also love others and walk in righteousness before our God.

it comes to growth in Jesus Christ, it all comes down to hearing his holy Word, and then heeding his holy Word; but before you can heed his Word you must spend time with the Lord in prayer. This is called meditation, and it involves not just hearing the Word of God, but praying over the Word of God, so that we may apply it to our lives. We read these words in (119:12)" Thy Word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against thee"... in order for us to grow in the Lord, we must read, and pray over the Word of God daily, until we heed the commandments of God in our lives.This is the way every child of God, grows in the Lord.

God lets us know that he doesn't want us to glory in our wisdom, wealth,or our works, but he does say that the one thing that we can glory in is that we understand and know him(Jeremiah 9:23)...The wisdom, wealth, and works that we do are a result of his grace in our lives, and we would not be able to exercise them without his giving them to us. The reason he does this is because he loves us with his great agape love, which sees our sins, but forgives us, and provides a way for us to know him, and come to him for salvation. This is the one thing we can glory in, that we know him, the source of glory, when we are saved by his amazing grace, and sanctified through his Holy Spirit as we learn his Word, and live our lives for him.

The Lord came into this world to die for our sins, and he was sent by God the Father, who loved him, and forgave us for his name's sake. ( Ephesians 4:30). We who have been redeemed by his blood, and daily cleansed and sanctified by that same blood,are now called to live for Jesus Christ, and also to suffer for his name's sake. We read these words in ( Philippians 1:29)"For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake"... When we honor the Lord with our life, and then with our lips, we will suffer for his name's sake. That is when we are living life at its highest level, for the Holy Spirit will take us through every trial, when do service our Lord and Savior.

Remember as a child of God, he charges you to always pray and not to faint (Luke 18:1); The Lord promises that he will supply all our needs, and he knows how needy we are, while we often don't see just how helpless we are without him. He tells all of his followers to come boldly to the throne of grace, to find help in times of need,(Hebrews 4:16). There is a throne in heaven, and God the Father sits on that throne, with our Lord Jesus Christ. The Holy Ghost is now the power and voice of God leading the church of God.He not only convicts us of sin, he leads us to repentance, so that our hearts are right before God when we pray. He told all of his followers in the book of ( Matthew 7:7)" Ask and it shall be given you:seek, and ye shall find ; knock and it shall be opened unto you"...this is the grace given to every child of God. He is always knocking at the door of your heart, and is waiting for you to knock at the door of his heart.( Revelation 3:20).
