Monday's are the best days!! Ladies Bible Study, lunch and working on lap blankets!! There is no better place to be than feasting on God's Word together and working together to serve Him. As we are learning from the Book of Esther, God is always working out His purpose and plan in the lives of His people even when His Hand is Hidden. He is always in control - look for His fingerprints everywhere. Remain faithful and obedient to Him even when you do not understand why He allows painful, hard times. He is always with us even during the darkest of times. May our actions and attitudes bring glory to Him!! Here are pictures of some of our completed lap blankets for the Groveton Nursing Home. We are getting closer and closer to having all 34 done!

Today was a very special day - at the end of our worship time we had our Elder/Pastor Ordination service for James Cody Wars. This is our church’s public recognition of God’s setting apart of James Cody for ministry to His church. We praise God for His work in James Cody's life and for the blessing he and his family have been and will continue to be to Pennington Baptist Church and to God's kingdom. May God use him in a Mighty Way to point the lost to the Savior and to help the saved to grow to spiritual maturity through the teaching and preaching of the Word of God.

This coming Sunday, May 31st is our Fifth Sunday meal AND it is also when James Cody Wars will be ordained as an elder/pastor. Come and join us as we worship our Lord together, and as we celebrate a young man surrendering to God's plan to use him to teach and preach God's Word and the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our Fifth Sunday Meal is a covered dish meal, so please bring your favorite savory dish and a dessert.

Our next Ladies Bible Study is Monday, 6/1, at 10 am in our fellowship hall!! We will start Chapter 2 of Esther and we would love for you to join us. Come and enjoy lunch afterwards, if you can stay, and then we will work on the lap blankets for the Groveton Nursing Home. I will bring a chicken pot pie.
