Last Sunday, we celebrated Youth Sunday. The children helped pick out the music, sang in the choir, read the scripture, and rang the bell.
They did a wonderful job!

We are proud of all their hard work throughout the last year. Seeing them grow is a joy.

Sunday, May 24 - Community Worship on the Court House Lawn - 10:00 AM
One Sunday, May 24, Christians around the world will celebrate Pentecost, known as the “birthday of the church.” Several churches in Penn Yan will celebrate by joining together for a worship service on the Court House Lawn in Penn Yan at 10:00 AM. For a number of years, the people of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 1st Presbyterian Church, Penn Yan United Methodist Church, 1st Baptist Church, and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church have enjoyed worshipping together in these outdoor services, marking the coming of springtime and the end of summer.

Everyone is welcome to come join in this joyful time of worship. Bring your own lawn chair, and in celebration of Pentecost, all are invited to wear red or bring a red potted flower to add to the front. There will be a special story for children, a community choir, Holy Communion, and a special offering to support the Penn Yan Area Council of Churches chaplains at the Yates County Jail and our local nursing homes. In case of rain, the service will move inside to 1st Baptist Church.

Today, we celebrated Birthday Sunday and had ourselves a little Christmas party with our church family! There was pizza, cake and cookies, bingo - a good time for everyone.
Thanks to Bob and Mike for having a little sing-along with our favorites!
