Our last full day of camp was packed with excitement as we captured the volleyball tournament championship and took on the Mega Relay! Students continued their journey through Psalm 23 and looked into how God protected David during Saul’s pursuit. During worship, we were challenged from Psalm 28 to trust the Lord as our strength and shield, remembering that He hears and sustains His people in every season.

Camp is flying by! Today, students continued their study of Psalm 23, focusing on God’s restoration of David and the faithfulness of the Good Shepherd. During worship, we spent time in 1 Peter 2, looking more closely at Jesus as our Great Shepherd who guides, cares for, and restores His people. We wrapped up the evening with a camp firstβ€”a Silent Disco! It was a fun night full of energy, laughter, and great memories as students continue growing in their knowledge of and desire to follow Christ.

Day 2 of camp is in the books! We enjoyed a full day of activities, lots of fun, and even claimed the title of Dodgeball Champions. Throughout the day, students continued learning about the Good Shepherd through Psalm 23 and the story of David and Goliath, while our worship time in Psalm 95 challenged them to consider a simple but important question: Why do you worship what you do? We’re thankful for how God is using His Word to help students know Christ more and follow Him more faithfully.

This Sunday we launched our summer series, β€œSongs of Ascent”, by asking a fundamental question: who are we, really?

Through Psalm 120 and Psalm 123, we saw that the Songs of Ascent begin not in triumph but in distress, a pilgrim far from home, longing for peace, surrounded by hostility. But the pilgrim’s response is not despair; it’s β€œlifting eyes to the one enthroned in the heavens.” The God toward whom the pilgrim travels is settled, sovereign, and present and that changes everything about how we walk the road.

Come follow along with us this Summer as we work through these beautiful, relatable, and life-giving Psalms….
