Ecclesiastes reminds us that the things we chase “under the sun” are temporary. Our lasting joy and hope are found in Christ alone.

We are genuinely excited about what the Lord is doing among us as a church, and even more excited about what lies ahead.That's exactly what we want to celebrate together on "Vision Sunday", this Sunday, August 30th.

This will be a special service dedicated to rejoicing in God's faithfulness over this past year and seeking His continued favor as we press forward into new territory for the sake of His kingdom. We'll be unpacking some exciting ministry initiatives that we believe the Lord is calling Gospel Grace to embrace in the year ahead. We can't wait to share them with you!

This morning we spent time in Psalm 134 — the very last of the fifteen Songs of Ascent. In just three verses, we saw something profound about the nature of worship. It is addressed to servants of the LORD who are standing their post in the temple by night — when the crowd is gone and no one is watching — and it calls them to offer worship anyway. And in return they received blessings from the Lord. Ask yourself this week: where is my night watch? Where am I serving or worshipping faithfully in the dark, when no audience is present except God?

“Come, bless the LORD, all you servants of the LORD, who stand by night in the house of the LORD!” — Psalm 134:1
