God Is Doing A New Thing - Part 2
Not long ago, the typical Sunday morning at Cornerstone did not have any kids or families involved.
The Cornerstone faithful who gathered to worship Jesus prayed to see kids running through the building again and for the sound of crying babies to once again “interrupt” service.
God saw their hearts and heard their prayers. And now, He is doing a new thing.
Over the last year, kids and families have started walking through the doors of Cornerstone again.
The remnant of people who have been around for years…many for decades…have embraced each new kid and parent.
Each one is an answered prayer.
A few months ago, we began running out of space for all of the kids who were showing up. So we started making plans to remodel parts of the church building in order to make room for the kids coming and for those who one day will come.
Last week, Jim Rutar and his skilled team completed our Cornerstone Kids remodeling and expansion project. We are incredibly grateful for the work they did.
This Sunday was the first Sunday the kids got to experience the finished project. One PreK kid walked in and with big eyes asked, “What is going ON in here??”
We praise God for breathing new life into Cornerstone through answering the prayers of the faithful and for kids and parents once again being a part of the church.
Jesus is alive and so is his church!
