WHEN THE KING’S COMPASSION MEETS OUR INADEQUACY
Matthew 14:13-21

What if the very thing you think is insufficient is exactly what Jesus wants to place in His hands?

Sometimes the greatest obstacle to the work of God is not that we have too little…

It’s believing that what we have is too small for God to use.

The disciples looked at thousands of hungry people and saw only five loaves and two fish.

Jesus looked at the same situation and saw an opportunity to reveal the abundance of His Kingdom.

What if the very thing you think is insufficient is exactly what Jesus wants to place in His hands?

This passage calls us to the theme verses of this series:

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:27-30)

Join us this Sunday at 10:00 AM as we continue our King of Hearts series through the Gospel of Matthew.

A prayer for this Sunday:

Father,

As we gather this Sunday, remind us that Your power is not limited by our weakness. Open our eyes to the compassion of King Jesus. Strengthen our faith to bring what little we have into Your hands and trust You to do what only You can do.

Teach us to rest in Your sufficiency and walk in joyful obedience.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

Join us Sunday at 10am!

Not every dinner table feeds the soul.

One king threw a banquet filled with power, image, and celebration…
and it ended in death.

Another King would welcome the hungry, the weary, and the broken…
and His table would overflow with life.

What table are you living from?

Join us this Sunday as we continue our Matthew: King of Hearts expository series with:

TWO KINGS. TWO TABLES
Matthew 14:1–12

Prayer for Sunday:

Lord Jesus, pull our hearts away from the empty tables of fear, striving, and self-preservation. Feed us again with Your truth, grace, and life. Open our eyes to Your Kingdom and teach our weary hearts to find rest in You. Amen.

We're gearing up at Living Hope Community Church to pray and reach the many children of our community.

Jesus said, "“Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.”

This Sunday is Pentecost Sunday and it reminds us:

Acts 1:8, "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

The church is meant to gather, not for repetitive information only that can lead to boring familiarity but in the expectation of a great work in the community for the Glory of Christ.

The King still speaks.
The Spirit still convicts.
The gospel still transforms.
The Kingdom still advances.

Do not let familiarity make us spiritually numb to the fact that God wants to do a great work in the community of Penacook through the church. Even the faith the size of a grain of a mustard seed can move mountains.

On June 7 we are starting a new children's church curriculum. Please pray for us and let's pray for the Parents and Children of our community.

Some of the greatest works of God are missed not because He is absent…
but because hearts stop expecting Him to move.

This Sunday at Living Hope Community Church
we continue our Matthew: King of Hearts series in Matthew 13:53–58.

Jesus came to His hometown ready to work…
yet many could not receive Him because of unbelief.

This Sunday os also Pentecost Sunday and it reminds us of something beautiful:

The King still desires to work mightily among His people through the power of His Spirit.

What if God wants to do more in our hearts, homes, and community than we’ve been expecting?

Come worship with us this Sunday at 10am.

Come weary.
Come hopeful.
Come asking the Lord to awaken fresh faith in your heart again.

Living Hope Community Church
Pentecost Sunday — 10am

Prayer of Preparation

Lord,
do not let our hearts grow familiar with holy things.
Awaken expectancy in us again.

Teach us to trust that You still speak,
still save,
still restore,
and still work mightily among Your people.

Open our hearts to welcome the work of Your Spirit this Sunday.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

This Sunday at Living Hope, as we celebrate Mother’s Day together, we’ll continue our Matthew: King of Hearts series with a message from Matthew 13:44–46 called:

“When the Kingdom Becomes Your Treasure.”

Jesus tells two short parables about a hidden treasure and a pearl of great value—pictures of what happens when someone truly discovers the worth of the Kingdom of Heaven.

What if the restlessness in our hearts comes from treasuring lesser things above the King Himself?

Come worship with us as we gather around God’s Word, celebrate the mothers and women who have shaped our lives, and learn again what it means to find our true treasure in Christ.

Prayer for this Sunday:

Lord Jesus,
open my eyes to the beauty of Your Kingdom.
Help me not cling so tightly to lesser treasures.
Prepare my heart for worship this Sunday,
and teach me to find my rest, joy, and treasure in You above all else.

Amen.

This Sunday at Living Hope—

“Do Not Be Deceived: All We Need Is In Christ”
from Colossians 2:1–5

There are a lot of voices competing for your attention.
A lot of “answers” promising more, better, deeper.

But what if everything you truly need…
is already found in Christ?

“In Him are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”

Come be encouraged.
Come be grounded.
Come be reminded of what is already yours in Him.

Prayer for this Sunday

Lord,
Guard us from being led astray by empty or deceptive voices.
Anchor our hearts in Christ,
where all true wisdom and knowledge are found.

Encourage us, unite us in love,
and strengthen our faith to stand firm.

Let us see clearly today—
that in Christ, we lack nothing.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
