Prayers for all of our seminarians.
Meet our Archdiocese of Santa Fe Official seminarians! 👋
Introducing Nicolas Morales, who is beginning his Propaedeutic Year at Mount Angel Seminary in Oregon. His home parish is San Clemente in Los Lunas.
Check out his vocation story:
"I have always loved the Mass. As I grew deeper in my faith, I gained a deeper appreciation for priests and the lives they lead. There were times I felt drawn to consider the priesthood, but I always pushed the thought aside, telling myself I needed to get a job and help my community first.
During college, that began to change. I started attending daily Mass, spending time in Eucharistic Adoration, and keeping a regular confession schedule. I grew close to several priests, learning from them both in ordinary conversation and in deeper talks about vocations, and I attended discernment events for those exploring religious life and priestly ministry. These experiences slowly opened my heart to discerning the priesthood.
One moment stands out clearly. I was praying the Rosary, meditating on the Sorrowful Mysteries, when I heard a warm, calm voice say to me, “Follow me,” much like Levi in Mark’s Gospel. I knew in that moment I had to reach out to the vocations office about entering the seminary."
