Salem was honored, today, to host an Historic Marker Dedication in memory of Revolutionary War Soldier Isaac Palmer and his wife Ann McAuley. The dedication ceremony was conducted by members of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution and honored two of the of the earliest members of Salem. Isaac Palmer served as a Minuteman in the Virginia Militia and he and Ann were members of Salem until their deaths in 1843. The marker, placed by the flag pole on the church lawn, is a gift to the church from the Washington State Society, Col. John Green, KY and Ponce De Leon FL chapters of the DAR.

I have fond memories of her and her husband Wilbur. Grew up and went to school with their children, James, Robert and Freda. Our condolences to her family.

I will be flooding your Facebook this month with pictures and facts. please feel free to share these posts and share the Go Fund Me link.

Oh my goodess. Where do I start. I can't even believe my Sweet Adaline is turning 3 this month! It feels like just yesterday I was holding my little 5 lb angel for the first time, watching Aubrey fall in love for the first time ever, and ...
