We just would like to tell you a little about us, the name and the purpose! We’ve been married over 14yrs and have four beautiful children and one grandchild. During our years together our marriage has endured plenty of ups and downs. But we can say it was Christ’s way of Loving that kept us and his Great Grace! See God never wanted there to be Divorce. In Mark 10:3-9 (MSG) 3 Jesus said, “What did

Moses command?”4 They answered, “Moses gave permission to fill out a certificate of dismissal and divorce her.”5-9 Jesus said, “Moses wrote this command only as a concession to your hardhearted ways. In the original creation, God made male and female to be together. Because of this, a man leaves father and mother, and in marriage he becomes one flesh with a woman—no longer two individuals, but forming a new unity. Because God created this organic union of the two sexes, no one should desecrate his art by cutting them apart.” As you can see it wasn’t or should not be an option to divorce! Neither was it for us or should it be for you! Last year we attended a marriage retreat, where by the Holy Spirit, Barbara received a song “Covenant Close”. The chorus says, “We are closer than before”. When arrived back from the retreat our Pastor gave us an assignment to start a small Impact Group that would affect families. Immediately after that the Holy Spirit gave us the name Closer than Before! Our purpose is just that! To bring the Husbands and Wives closer together than they’ve ever been before. No matter how long you’ve been together or what you’ve been through. God’s Love endures all, conquers all and never stops because of situations. Our union in God is a complete work!
