Faithfulness was a key part of our lesson this week. The greatest form of faithfulness the world has ever seen was Christ's sacrifice for all people. As humans we cannot earn our way to God due to our perpetual sin, but Christ's free gift of sacrifice and faithfulness is enough for all who accept. David shows through the Psalms how we as humans can be faithful in return.

Through David's trials, specifically fleeing from Saul and his son, we learn through his Psalms that he never stopped worshiping the Lord through song. Even if we are not as musically inclined as David was, we can take away that no matter our form of worship, it is still a powerful connection to God.

Trusting in God was a common thread during our discussions and teaching today. Learning from David, Asaph, and other psalmists, we can trust that going to God in our times of need will always lead to answers from Him.

Today was a wonderful first day of CBS in Pella for the 2025-26 year! During our teaching we learned that a primary purpose of the Psalms is to learn how to commune with God. How awesome is it that we have our own guide to be able to have a personal conversation with the Creator who loves us?!

Pella's CBS class will begin in 2 days on September 9 and will be focusing on the Book of Psalms. The day class is every Tuesday from 9:30-11:30am and the remote evening class is every Tuesday from 6:30-8:00pm. The Pella CBS class will be focusing on the Book of Psalms this upcoming 2025-2026 year. Class is on Tuesday mornings from 9:30-11:30am or Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8:00pm.
