Pell City First United Methodist Church

Pell City First United Methodist Church Everyone is welcome in our church. Services at 10:30am
Alternating Traditional & Contemporary. and 3rd Ave N.

Our congregation sits in the heart of Pell City, AL at the intersection of 22nd St. As we have been led by the Holy Spirit, we have discerned our mission to be a community of believers transforming lives through Jesus Christ. As God transformed our hearts and lives with grace and love, we believe God desires to transform the heart of Pell City, the heart of our nation, and the heart of our world.

We are perfectly located and empowered by God to put action to our faith through worship, nurturing discipleship, and loving service to others. We believe that our faith extends further than our doors and we are highly active in the community through community organizations, events, development, education, and assistance. As Jesus told his followers that they are the salt and light of the world, we desire to be the salt and light of our community. The light and goodness that God has shown and given to us should be experienced and shared by all who desire to come and share in the kingdom of God. As United Methodists, we are part of a global and spiritual connection. We are connected with other United Methodist congregations in our area known as the Cheaha District, which is in turn connected with every other United Methodist congregation in North Alabama under the North Alabama Conference of the United Methodist Church. Our Conference under the the spiritual leadership of Bishop Debra Wallace-Padgett, is connected to United Methodism nationally and globally and continues to be a spiritual movement that makes disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. From UMC.org:
The United Methodist Church is an 12.5-million-strong global church that opens hearts, opens minds and open doors through active engagement with our world. John Wesley and the early Methodists placed primary emphasis on Christian living, on putting faith and love into action. This emphasis on what Wesley referred to as "practical divinity" has continued to be a hallmark of United Methodism today
