HONOR your MOTHER

Toward the end of his life, Reverand Billy Graham was asked if he had any regrets. He admitted he wished he had spent more time in prayer. That response resonates with many of us. Paul's words in COLOSSIANS 4:2 to the believers in Colossae echo the same reminder - to be steadfast in prayer. Perhaps Daniel came to Paul's mind. For more than 60 years, Daniel faithfully prayed, no matter who was in power. Even when King Darius was tricked into issuing a decree that prayer could be offered only to him, Daniel did not waver. He did what he had always done - knelt before God, faced Jerusalem, and prayed. Daniel's life reminds us that prayer isn't a backup plan; it's the foundation of faith. To be steadfast in prayer is to stay connected to the One who gives us wisdom, courage, and strength.
