THIS SUNDAY (MAY 24th)

The time has finally come…DIRT CHURCH 2026 begins this Sunday! Same place (Oak Mountain State Park, Dogwood Pavilion) and Same time (schedule below) as last year. Come join us in worshiping our God in His outdoor cathedral and enjoy lunch with new and old friends. BYOL - Bring you own lunch. As always we will provide a hot grill for you to cook on.

See you this Sunday!

9:00 am – Welcome
9:05 am - Time of worship and a message grounded in Scripture
10:00 am – Time in creation (mountain bike, hike, trail run, fish…)
12:00 am - Good conversation over lunch with new friends
(bring your own food but a hot grill is provided)

Warmer weather and the month of May has finally arrived. What does that mean? DIRT CHURCH is back on Sunday May 24th and every fourth Sunday through October. We are so exited to see you and worship with you in God’s incredible creation. Come one, come all. Invite a friend. Below is the general schedule and feel free to DM for more info. See ya soon!

The XTERRA North American Championships at Oak Mountain State Park are quickly approaching (May 15th-17th) and they are looking for volunteers. No athletic or triathlon experience required. See the link for details.

Come joins us for a great day of Dirt Church (7:00 am on May 17th) and volunteering for then Sunday Long course event. Excited to see you there and support the XTERRA event.

🌟 Get ready for the EXTERRA North American Championships off-road triathlon at Oak Mountain State Park!

This is your chance to be part of something huge:
• Race with athletes from around the world
• OR volunteer and help make the event unforgettable

Dirt Church is honored to host a special Sunday morning service at 7:00 AM on May 17th at the Oak Mountain State Park Beach Pavilion.
Come worship with us in the fresh morning air, then stick around and volunteer for the Sunday race! Volunteer spots are also available Friday and Saturday.

This is going to be an incredible weekend full of energy, community, and adventure. Whether you’re racing, serving, or just soaking it all in — we’d love to see YOU there!

XTERRA is seeking volunteers on Friday, May 16, Saturday, May 17, and Sunday, May 18. Our dream would be for Dirt Church to stay after service on Sunday and help show traveling athletes and families what hospitality in the South truly looks like.

You do not need to know anything about triathlons.
You do not need to be an athlete.

XTERRA simply needs kind, encouraging humans willing to:
• Hand out hydration
• Direct athletes
• Place medals around necks
• Cheer loudly and often

That’s it.

The XTERRA North American Championship is returning to our beautiful Oak Mountain State Park May 15-17, 2026! 🏞️🚴‍♂️🏃‍♀️

Athletes, families, and volunteers from across the country—and even around the world—will descend on our trails for this epic off-road triathlon festival.
And here’s the exciting part: On Sunday morning, May 17th, we’re thrilled to host a special Dirt Church service right in the heart of it all! 🙏

This is a perfect fit for Dirt Church’s mission: connecting with God through His Word, His incredible creation, and building real community in the outdoors.
