Our Story
A Brief History
We began our journey as a congregation back in the 1980s when a small group of believers gathered in the back yard of Brother Ben and Sister Janice Flemings home on Gobbler K**b road in Pekin Indiana. Brother Ronald F. Bower was the founding Pastor and continued as pastor for 25 years, seeing the church buy and renovate an old pool hall located at No.2 Main street in Pekin. As the vision grew the church bought Dr. Carty’s old office at 162 N Blue River Road. In September 2013 Pastor Ron Bower felt the Lord wanted a change in leadership and contacted Brother Marvin Overstreet who had been part of the early leadership of FGF but had moved his wife Donna and daughter Sarah to Brazil Indiana and then Terre Haute Indiana. Brother Marvin became Pastor in November of 2013. The church has continued to grow in members and Spiritual renewal. The Congregation broke ground on a new worship center and had its dedication service on September 17,2017 The Lord has been very gracious to send us several skilled workers to enhance the ministry. We are a Pentecostal Church that is not patterned after any other church. We are non denominational on purpose. As a Free Pentecostal Church we only use the Bible as our manual.

We are Pentecostal Christians which means we are Washed in the Blood of the Jesus, Sanctified by the Spirit, and Filled with the Holy Ghost.
