America Reads the Bible concluded after seven days and 84 consecutive hours of uninterrupted Scripture, ending with the final words of Revelation proclaimed inside the Museum of the Bible and streamed nationwide. Nearly 500 voices read the Bible aloud from Genesis to Revelation, with millions engaging from homes, churches, and communities across the country.

The event was intentionally simple and reverent, with “no commentary, no debate, just simply reading Scripture in the nation’s capital.” Bunni Pounds said, “This week was about honoring God and His Word in the heart of our nation,” and added that she believes it could mark “the start of an awakening back to simple Christianity.”

Great American Media said the effort reflects a larger commitment to faith, family, and country. Bill Abbott said, “We believe God’s Word is not secondary to culture, it shapes culture,” and added that the lasting impact was that “families paused and listened together.”

Dear God,
There will be hundreds of distractions in my pastor’s life today—fires to put out, unexpected twists and turns, and the noise and clutter of the world. I know that the deceiver will do anything he can to keep my pastor from study, prayer, and service. So, I lift my pastor up to You, dear Lord, asking You to help keep the main thing the main thing. Give “blinders” so that my pastor is keenly focused on You and on Your purpose for life and ministry this day. In Jesus’ name.

04/28/2026

Dear Father,
Thank you for a pastor that seeks You with a whole heart. The pastor’s singular desire, Lord, is to serve and please You. So, Father, show the pastor the way. Give the pastor Your vision. Grant Your clarity. Make the complex simple. And then give the pastor boldness to step out in faith to accomplish Your plans for our ministry and for our church. It’s easy to be distracted by many voices, so Father let the pastor hear but one voice, and let that voice be Yours. These things I pray with hope and expectation, in Jesus’ name.

May 17- Rededication of USA back to God
President Donald Trump announced at the 74th annual National Prayer Breakfast on May 17, 2026, there will be a major prayer event held on the National Mall to “rededicate America as one nation under God.”

The special prayer event is part of America’s 250th birthday celebration titled, “Rededicate 250: National Jubilee of Prayer, Praise, and Thanksgiving.” The 12-hour sacred dedication event
promises that “In speech, song, and storytelling, we will bear witness to the extraordinary story of how God has powerfully and wonderfully shaped the United States of America — remembering the people, sacrifices, and defining moments in which God has powerfully manifested Himself in our history.” President Trump has invited Americans from across the country to come together on the National Mall on that day to pray, praise, and give thanks. During the announcement, he noted a spiritual renewal and rising church attendance in America. He praised this trend declaring that “to be a great nation…you have to have faith” and “you have to have God.”

In YOUTUBE America reads the Bible. You will hear Leaders of this great country reading the whole Bible in one week.

I am asking you as a Patriot and as a born again Christian, to join this nations Christians preparing the soil of the land and the soil of people’s hearts, and making ready for the rededication of this nation back to God, an event which will happen on May 17, 2026 in Washington D.C. Joshua 3:5 says, sanctify yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.

As we celebrate the 250 year Anniversary of this great country, let us remember from which cometh our help as the Psalmist says, Psalm 121:2
“I will lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from?”

If we want a country for the next generations, if we want a safe place for our grandchildren, there is only one answer, America must turn back to God.

Will you do your part, with your family or friends and make an intentional effort reading the Bible out loud, one verse or two verses, or a whole chapter. The idea is to read the Bible out loud, in as many places as possible.

American as a nation, must come back to the place of honoring the bible not as a relic, but as the living Word of God, that is the foundation for this country. Psalm 11:3 “3 If the foundations are destroyed, What can the righteous do? Psalm 33:12-22 “12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord

Americans, Patriots, Saints, body of Christ: Please listen to a pod cast on YOUTUBE America reads the Bible. Leaders of this great country have committed together to read the whole Bible in one week.

As we celebrate the 250 year Anniversary of this great country, let us remember from which cometh our help as the Psalmist says, Psalm 121:2-“My help comes from the Lord.” This verse declares that our help comes from the LORD, the Creator of heaven and earth, who watches over and protects His people.
The psalm opens with the question, “I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from?” and at once answers, “My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth” (Psalm 121:1–2).
This emphasizes that true help and protection are not found in human strength, earthly powers, or material resources, but in God Himself, who is sovereign over all creation. As we draw near to the rededication of our nation, let us join with many Christians knowing unless the Lord builds the house, they who labor, labor in vain.

If we want a country for the next generations, if we want a safe place for our grandchildren, there is only one answer, America must turn back to God.

Will you do your part, with your family or friends and make an intentional effort reading the Bible aloud, one verse or two verses, or a whole chapter. The idea is to read the Bible aloud, in as many places as possible.

Psalm 33:12-22 “12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, The people He has chosen as His own inheritance. 13 The Lord looks from heaven; He sees all the sons of men. 14 From the place of His dwelling He looks On all the inhabitants of the earth; 15 He fashions their hearts individually; He considers all their works. 16 No king is saved by the multitude of an army; A mighty man is not delivered by great strength. 17 A horse is a vain hope for safety; Neither shall it deliver any by its great strength. 18 Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, On those who hope in His mercy, 19 To deliver their soul from death, And to keep them alive in famine. 20 Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and our shield. 21 For our heart shall rejoice in Him, Because we have trusted in His holy name.
22 Let Your mercy, O Lord, be upon us, Just as we hope in You.

A Mississippi Church Is Helping Build a Methodist Sanctuary in Qatar

AMORY, Miss. — On April 15, the members of Amory First Global Methodist Church presented $31,000 toward a worship facility being built for the Global Methodist Church in Doha, Qatar, a structure already under construction on government-granted land in a Gulf state where Christians are a minority and permanent church buildings are hard-won. Before the night ended, another $3,108 came through the offering plate.

“Tonight, because of your radical generosity,” their pastor, Bro. Wesley, wrote to his congregation afterward, “we were able to donate $31,000 to help a newly planted Global Methodist congregation in Doha, Qatar build a worship facility.”

How It Came Together

Gifts like this rarely happen by accident. This one was the result of a focused campaign organized by the Mississippi–West Tennessee Annual Conference, driven by Bishop Scott Jameson Jones and Conference Superintendent Lauren Porter, who spent months rallying support across their churches. Amory First answered.

The memo line on the ceremonial check read simply: Doha Qatar GMC.

What that line does not convey is the denominational reach behind it. The Qatar congregation falls under the Mega Manila Annual Conferenc, the same structure that oversees Global Methodist churches across the Philippines. When Dr. Luther Oconer, the conference’s superintendent, posted about the gift, he named both communities in the same breath, “Our brothers and sisters in Doha and the whole Mega Manila Annual Conference thank all of you.”

Mississippi. The Philippines. Qatar. For a denomination that only formally launched in 2022, the coordinates are striking.

What Is Rising in Doha

The Qatar government has granted 1.8 hectares of land to the Evangelical Churches Alliance of Qatar, where a three-story worship complex seating up to 6,000 people is currently under construction. Within it, the Global Methodist Church will hold a dedicated space for 200 worshippers. Completion is expected in three years. Oconer has stood on the site. What he saw moved him past the language of progress reports.

“This is a testament to God’s work in this region,” he said. “The Holy Spirit is moving, and this project will open doors for the gospel, now and for future generations.”

The congregation in Doha framed it with similar weight. Their public statement described the facility not merely as a building but as “a beacon of hope where the name of Jesus will be lifted high in a land where Christians are few” an acknowledgment, unvarnished, of the environment they are planting themselves in.

A Denomination at the Ends of the Earth

The Global Methodist Church has never moved timidly on its international vision. Annual conferences now span Africa, Asia, and increasingly, the Middle East and the Qatar project is the most visible expression yet of how seriously that vision is being pursued. A government granted the land. A bishop organized the campaign. A congregation in northeast Mississippi wrote the check.

A room is going up in Doha, and the GMC’s name is on it.

Acts 1:8 - “to the ends of the earth” - was quoted by nearly every party connected to the gift. At this point, it reads less like scripture and more like a progress report.
