First United Methodist Church, Pearland Come Follow Jesus, Build Relationships, Grow in Discipleship and Experience Real Transformation

Not unlike a home flipper, Jesus sees not just who we are - but all the potential of who we can be. The Gospels are brimming with stories of individuals who encountered Jesus - and left completely redesigned. AND - every rehab gets messy and hard before it gets better. Are you willing to let Jesus redesign your life? Each of the below healings (restorations) show up in all 3 of the synoptic gospels. I have chosen to rest in Luke, as he is known as the “Great Physician” - and so it feels appropriate to utilize his tellings of miracles of physical healings/restorations.

Sunday, September 27, is Church in Action Sunday! We will gather for worship at 9 am in the Family Life Center, then break out into project teams to experience real action, with the goal of building real relationships with those we serve and serve alongside.

Review the project list and register you and your family for this day of service and exposure to new ways to see and serve people beyond our walls.

If you need a black Church in Action t-shirt to celebrate and share our goal to see the people and be a Church in Action, please sign up by September 18 to guarantee a shirt.

We look forward to your participation in this exciting day!

It's important that Christians understand that the world is watching how the church acts and reacts to things. On Sunday, we continued our sermon series, "Project Jesus", talking about the role of faith in healing as well as the role of advocates or friends that live out their faith boldly.

On Sunday, we talked about the story of the Centurion's slave who was sick and dying and what the Centurion did to try to help him, being an advocate for him to Jesus.

You can watch the full sermon on our page or on YouTube to hear more about being a friend/advocate in faith for someone.
