We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.
Romans 5:3‭-‬5 NLT

Have u ever been through something so hard that it blinded u from seeing the goodness of God?

Tragic event. Death. Separation, etc.. the truth is, its difficult to rejoice in the mist of trials n problems. Matter of fact, we are so blinded n overwhelmed by the situation that we rarely ever see a reason to be joyful in the mist of the problem.

But here, it says in these moments, our problem or trial, is what develop, grow, n mode us. It strenthens our character or who we are. Our trial brings us endurance, meaning we are able to take on bigger trials the more we experience them. It strengthen who we are and develops what we believe in. And more so, it strenthen our hope of salvation. And Jesus, our Lord and Savior will not disappoint us bcuz even in the mist of our trials n problems. God's Holy Spirit wraps us with His unchanging love.

God knows the burdens are not easy. He knows the problems u go through are heavy. But He also knows if u don't go through problems and trials, your character and ability to take on everything Satan will throw at u will never grow..

It may look likes He is not helping u. It may look like u are alone. But His Holy Spirit is holding u so tight with His love for u, as u are going through your trial..

And when u make it through. You will be a stronger u.

A baby will never learn how to walk if u carry them around their whole life. A plane will never fly if you keep it grounded. And a mind will never grow if u do not place it in a position to learn..

Today. Rejoice that while u grow, God sends His Holy Spirit to go through with u.

He is here!

Due to the recent drastic spike in new Covid-19 cases in our area, we will temporarily suspend our Mid-Week Worship and Bible Study for Wednesday, August 11th, and Wednesday, August 18th. We will reevaluate the situation after two weeks.

We will continue to worship together in person each Sunday morning @ 10:45 with precautionary measures in place to protect the well-being of our members, guests, and staff. For those who cannot join us in person, we encourage you to join with us live online here on our Grace Church page each Sunday.

[Atomic Habit] Imagine that you have an ice cube sitting on the table in front of you.
The room is cold and you can see your breath.
It is currently twenty-five degrees. Ever so slowly, the room begins to heat up.

Twenty-six degrees. Twenty-seven. Twenty-eight. The ice cube is still sitting on the table in front of you.

Twenty-nine degrees. Thirty. Thirty-one. Still, nothing has happened. Then, thirty-two degrees. The ice begins to melt.

A one-degree shift, seemingly no different from the temperature increases before it, has unlocked a huge change.

God knows your heart. Change can take a process. Just bcuz u do not see or feel the temperture changing doesn't mean it's not changing.

Just bcuz it's taking time to see the old self melting away doesn't mean the change isn't occuring in your life. You may have started at 10 degrees and have made it to 31.

You may still be below freezing but u only have 1 more degree to go before the change can be seen and ice begin to melt away.

God can began a changing process in your life today.. but you first have to bring Him all your problems that's weighing you down.

If u stay still in water long enough you will eventually float to the top. But if you have weights on, it will continue to keep your body at the bottom..

Let go, let God and trust in His process.
