Please join The Refuge Church family in prayer for First Lady Jennifer Bennett as her beloved mother, Mrs. Ossie Dell Young, has transitioned to be with the Lord.

We extend our love and heartfelt condolences to the Young and Bennett families. May God surround them with His peace, strengthen them in the days ahead, and comfort their hearts as they celebrate Mother Young’s life and cherish her memory.

Visitation and homegoing service details are included in the flyer below. Please continue to keep the family lifted in prayer.

“It Looks Better, But Is It?”
After watching the Ole Miss vs. LSU game, Pastor Bennett shared a revelation that was bigger than football—it was about the game of life.
Lane Kiffin’s move from Ole Miss to LSU reminds us that what looks bigger, brighter, or better is not always what it seems.
A fake plant can look green, full, and perfect, but it has no roots, no life, and no ability to grow. A real plant may need water, care, and attention, but it still has roots—and with time, it can bloom again.

Before you leave where you’ve been planted, make sure you aren’t walking away from something that only needs to be watered. 🌱
