Unfortunately, we also share the passing of Lera Mae Rogers, Johnnie Hollingsworth's Sister. Let's remember Sis Johnnie, Regina, and Allen in our prayers too!

The Chapel Hill Church is saddened to announce the passing of the eldest member of our Church, Sister Lera Mae Rogers, at age 99. Sister Lera Mae’s family history goes back to the very beginnings of our Church. No matter where she’s lived, no matter where she was, Chapel Hill was always home to her. She loved to attend when she was able, and she always had the sweetest disposition when anyone would see her. We are saddened by her absence, and we are saddened for her family, but we rejoice because late last night, Sister Lera Mae entered into the presence of our Lord. Please be in prayer for her family: her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Arrangements are as follows:

Funeral Following Visitation
Burial @ Old Bethel Cemetery

2 Corinthians 5:6-8
6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: 7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) 8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

Jennifer Bufkin passed away peacefully on August 22, 2026, after a hard fought and courageous battle with cancer.
