To our fellow Brothers and Sisters... Due to unforeseen circumstances, the ladies' Flip-flop Fellowship has been rescheduled for May 23rd.
Also, DON'T FORGET... 5th Sunday Dinner is this upcoming Sunday, March 29th, after morning service. Bring your favorite dish/dishes to share with your church family!! We hope to see you in God's house for great food and great fellowship!!

Today, as all of you know, is Christmas. But today wasn't about the fancy decorated tree, or the overindulgence of a feast that was prepared. Or, as most perceive it, to ONLY be the exchanging of gifts. No, today is a celebration of our Dear Savior's birth. A celebration of the most amazing, profound love that God has for us. That He gave the gift of life to Mary, to bare and raise His only begotten Son, so He could shed His blood, and die for our sins. Now THAT is a cause for celebration!!

A Little Thanksgiving Poem:

Dear Heavenly Father, I humbly come before thee,
With a very grateful heart, I bow on bended knee.
With thanksgiving and praises, upon you I call,
You've given me many blessings, I cannot count them all.
You sent your Dear Son, Emmanuel to dwell among men and their kin,
I'm thankful that He bled and died for my every sin.
You forgave each one and you had washed them all away,
And I know I get to be with You, on streets of gold in Heaven some day.
Thank you for all my dear loved ones too,
And thank you for giving me friends so true.
Thank you for my wonderful church, and all its members so dear,
And a Pastor who preaches the word of truth without any doubt nor fear.
Thank you for supplying all my needs every day,
Thank you for your guidance and leading the way.
Lord, there's so many blessings to me that you bring,
Lord, I just want to thank you for EVERYTHING!!

Something to think about:

In the Bible, a man possessed by demons recognized Jesus, but the "religious" experts, the ones who studied scripture their whole lives, didn't even see Him.
Many people think that spiritual maturity is based on how many Bible verses they can quote. But there's so many people out there who can quote scripture, but still carry pride, bitterness, and gossip. They have Bible knowledge, but no love.
Truth is, it's NOT how much you know about God, it's how much you resemble Him. True faith is NOT about reciting the word, its about living it!!

With heavy hearts, we are saddened to announce the tragic and unexpected news on the passing of our fellow brother in Christ, James Gros. But we are also rejoicing in knowing that he is in the presence of the Lord. We ask that you keep the Galloway and Gros families in your prayers as they try to navigate through this difficult time. We will share more information about memorial services as it comes available.
