"And they all forsook him and fled"

Last night we took turns watching with Christ just as the disciples did on the night of his betrayal. This is a tradition that dates back many years.

"Stay here with me, remain here with me, watch and pray"

We are reminded each year that we went from Palm Sunday, when the crowds were exclaiming "Hosanna!" to Good Friday, when the crowds shouted "Crucify him!". Christ's sacrifice for us reminds us that we are loved so deeply, that we were worth dying for. Good Friday is a time of contemplation for many Episcopalians, but it is also a time to prepare for a new beginning--one full of hope that this year will be better than the last.

If you are looking for a fresh beginning and want a place to celebrate our Risen Lord, please join us at 9 a.m. on Easter morning.

All are welcome, all are loved!

February is the month of love, and we have a lot to share! We will be sharing our thoughts on the practices as outlined by Bishop Michael Curry's Way of Love each Saturday and Sunday until the end of the month.

This sunday's term is "Turn"
How do we turn ourselves towards Jesus as a congregation? We choose to turn to Jesus when we are met with adversity, prejudice, malice, and hatefulness. We turn to him to show us how to show love to those who do not show us the same. As many of you know, we as a congregation are accepting, loving, kind, and considerate. We choose to show love to God and our neighbors, because that is our calling-- to love without conditions. We turn to Jesus to show us how we can live like him, to love like him, and to accept the outcast like him. We don't ask for anything in return. If you need a place to come for solace, a place where you can come for a quick chat with friendly individuals, or simply a place to come where you can feel accepted and loved, please join us for our Sunday morning worship services. We would love to have you with us as a part of our church family. Our services are at 11 a.m. with Sunday school for children starting at 10:30 a.m.

This is your Sunday night reminder that you are loved, wanted and appreciated.
