Step back in time and experience an evening of history, patriotism, and community at Peapack Reformed Church. On Monday June 8 at 6:15 PM, join us for a Landmark Series Event, "Remembering the American Revolution," presented by the Peapack Church Foundation and featuring local historian, Joel Farkas.
The evening begins at Liberty Park with a patriotic quarter mile march to the church alongside members of the 2nd New Jersey Regiment - Helm's Company, helping to bring the spirit of the Revolutionary era to life right here in our community.
The event will also include:
*Patriotic music beginning at 6:45 PM
*Historical presentation at 7:00 PM
*Revolutionary period desserts served afterward
This is a free community event for all ages. Invite your family, friends, neighbors, and local history enthusiasts as we remember the courage, sacrifice, and faith that helped shape our nation.

Ever walk into a sanctuary and feel that quiet ache when the pews aren't as full as they once were? You're not alone in that feeling. This Mother's Day message reminds us that faithfulness has never been measured by a full room—not at Mars Hill, not in the upper room in Jerusalem, and not here.

Our church's history is filled with moments of rebuilding after fire, paying off debt one clam chowder supper at a time, and faithful servants who showed up week after week. Just like Paul in Athens speaking to a handful of believers, or Jesus promising eleven frightened disciples in an upper room, God works powerfully through small, committed groups.

The same words Jesus spoke then echo for us today: "I will not leave you orphaned. I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you" (John 14:18-20). You are held in Christ. The Spirit dwells within you. That's not a problem to manage—it's a calling to embrace.

On this Mother's Day, we celebrated not just the mothers among us, but the faithful witness of those who came before us. From 38 charter members gathering in Butcher Hall in 1848, to the Ladies Aid Society paying off church debt one clam chowder supper at a time after a devastating fire, our story is one of persistent faithfulness.

Empty pews don't signal failure - they reveal hearts that care deeply about the missing. That longing for community is Gospel love in action. Paul didn't preach to packed stadiums in Athens. Jesus promised the Spirit to just 11 frightened disciples in an upper room. Faithfulness has never been measured by a full room, but by the depth of Christ's indwelling within us.

You are in Christ. Christ is in you. The Spirit abides with you. You are not orphaned - you are sent.
