Sequitur is a weekly course exploring the foundations of the Catholic faith for those who want to deepen their understanding and confidently share the richness of Christ and His Church.

Through Scripture, salvation history, Catholic teaching, the sacraments, prayer, and spiritual growth, participants will encounter the faith taught by clergy and experienced Catholic educators.

Fall Programs for Children & Youth: Nurturing a Deep and Joyful Immersion into the Life of Christ

Registration is now open for a new season of faith, friendship, learning, and growing together! Explore our fall offerings for children and youth:

• K–8 Faith Formation: A weekly immersion into the richness of the Catholic faith, prayer, Scripture, and the tradition of the Church.

• Sacrament Preparation: Preparation for Confirmation and First Holy Communion is a two-year process which takes place during Sunday and Wednesday faith formation for students in 2nd - 8th grade.

• Catechesis of the Good Shepherd: A religious formation program for children ages 4–6, rooted in Sacred Scripture, the Liturgy, and the Montessori educational philosophy.

• High School Youth Ministry: Weekly gatherings where high school students can grow in faith, build friendships, and discover what it means to live as young Catholics.

• Youth Guild Enrichment Classes: A variety of hands-on classes for children and youth to learn meaningful skills, explore new interests, and build community.

YOUTH GUILD

This fall, the Portland Catholic Center for Faith is excited to offer Youth Guild Enrichment Classes for children and youth! These 12-week classes give young people the opportunity to explore new interests, develop meaningful life skills, and build friendships in a joyful, faith-filled environment.

Choose from three fall offerings:
• Multi-Media Art — ages 7–12
• Cooking — ages 10–18
• Sewing for Young People — ages 13–18

Classes meet Tuesdays, 3:30–5:00 PM, in Guild Hall from September 8 through December 2. Registration is $50 for the semester.

All are warmly invited to a reception honoring Fr. Paul Marquis as he celebrates the 40th Anniversary of his Ordination to the Priesthood on Sunday, August 9, from 2:00–4:00 PM in the Guild Hall.

Ordained in 1986, Fr. Paul has faithfully served the Diocese of Portland in parishes across Maine and as a dedicated hospital chaplain. He currently serves as part-time parochial vicar for the Portland Peninsula and Island Parishes while continuing his ministry as a chaplain in Portland hospitals.

Please join us as we give thanks to God for Fr. Paul's four decades of faithful priestly service and congratulate him on this joyful milestone.
