This past Sunday in youth group, we talked about Exodus 32 and the danger of settling for something less than God. It’s easy to turn to what’s right in front of us when we’re waiting on God—but He is always worth the wait.

Take a minute to reflect: What are you tempted to settle for? What fear might be underneath that pull?

Happy First Day of School, Solanco!

Today we’re praying for every student, teacher, and school staff member as a new school year begins.

🙏 Our prayer is that God would give our students courage to live boldly for Jesus, kindness to love the people around them, and opportunities to share the gospel with their friends. May they be a light in their schools and point others to the hope we have in Christ.

Let’s pray that our students don’t just go to school this year—they go as Jesus’ ambassadors, ready to love, serve, and share the gospel. ❤️

🔥 Let me tell you about our leaders…

The bonfire got canceled. 😭
So they improvised. Someone grabbed the fake campfire from Kids Ministry, brought it into the gym, and we decided, “Well… we’re still going to have a great night.” 😂🔥

And then you looked around and saw this…

Students leading students in worship. 🙌

That’s the part we don’t want to overlook.

Young leaders, you may not always realize the impact you’re having. But when you step up, serve, lead worship, encourage your friends, and point people toward Jesus—you’re doing something that matters.

Ministry doesn’t always look like the plan we made. Sometimes the bonfire gets canceled and the fake fire comes out. 😂

But the mission doesn’t change.

Keep showing up. Keep leading. Keep pointing people to Jesus.

You matter more than you know. 🔥❤️

About Last Night…

The bonfire got moved inside, but honestly… these students are what make it a good time no matter where we are. ❤️😂

The laughter, the crazy moments, the friendships, the memories… they’re the reason last night was so much fun. 🫶

And getting to watch Jesus work in and through these students? That’s the best part. ❤️

So thankful for this group and the joy, friendship, and faith they bring with them wherever we go.

🔥 BONFIRE PLANS HAVE CHANGED… BUT TONIGHT IS STILL ON!

Rain may have ruined the fire, but it’s NOT ruining our night! 👏

We’re moving inside to Douglas Hall for a night of games, food, laughs, and hanging out with your favorite people. And Rob is bringing a devotional, too—so we’ll have a chance to slow down, hear from God, and leave encouraged. ❤️

You definitely don’t want to miss this one. Come ready to play, laugh, eat, and make some memories!
