Nicolette Unruh recently got married. Her wedding photographer was able to stitch together two pictures giving Nicolette the chance to have a wedding picture taken in front of the Bergthal church. Pretty special! She asked me to share this with all of you.

Hi Bergthal Family, We came across a few old videos the kids took of the church building in its final months. Becca (9 years old at the time) narrates throughout. You may get a little dizzy watching at times, but it's a rather poignant walk down memory lane. Hope you enjoy. Here's the first of what I believe will be three videos.

Sunday, October 23, 2016 Wynona, Katie, and Dale were able to travel to the Hanston Mennonite Church to attend worship service and help with packing school kits. Thank you to them for inviting us to help with school kits and treating us with a wonderful potluck meal afterwards with good conversation and fellowship.

Sunday, September 11, 2016 ten folks representing Bergthal traveled to First Mennonite Church in McPherson to help Rebecca and Jonathan and church members reach their goal of packing 500 school kits after the church service and a wonderful meal. We were able to pack 471 kits before we ran out of rulers and notebooks. They will restock and finish the rest to reach 500 kits! See attached pictures and amateur video of the process with the Bergthal folks helping the First Mennonite folks. It was a great day! Here is a link to a McPherson newspaper article about the project: http://m.mcphersonsentinel.com/lifestyle/20160902/church-news

The church memorial in the cemetery was set by Bell Memorial on September 2nd. Mark Herrman, brick mason from Great Bend, built the pedestal in July. Several church members poured the concrete pad earlier. Pictures below show some stages of the process.
