IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT – PAULSBORO 4TH OF JULY PARADE CANCELED
It is with deep regret that the Greater Paulsboro Chamber of Commerce (GPCC), after extensive discussions and consultation with Borough officials and the Office of Emergency Management (OEM), has made the difficult decision to cancel this year's Fourth of July Parade scheduled for Saturday, July 4.
This decision was not made lightly. After carefully reviewing the forecast and the anticipated extreme heat conditions expected throughout our area, it was determined that canceling the parade is the most responsible course of action to protect the health and safety of our participants, volunteers, spectators, first responders, and everyone involved.
We understand how much this annual tradition means to our community. For generations, the Fourth of July Parade has been a source of hometown pride and a celebration that brings families, friends, and neighbors together. We share the disappointment of having to cancel this cherished event, but the safety and well-being of our community must always come first.
❤️"PLEASE NOTE"- This cancellation applies "ONLY" to the Fourth of July Parade.
The Borough's 250th Anniversary Celebration at Fort Billingsport Park will continue as scheduled on Sunday, July 5, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. We look forward to celebrating this historic milestone together and hope everyone will join us for a day of community, history, and patriotism.
We sincerely appreciate everyone's understanding, support, and cooperation. We wish all of our residents and visitors a safe, happy, and healthy Independence Day weekend.
Happy Independence Day from the Mayor, Borough Council, and the Borough of Paulsboro!
