Pine Haven Cemetery Services had the honor to right a beautiful monument that fell over because of a foundation failure.

I had to temporarily shim up the monument until I can replace the foundation next spring.

Please if you see any monuments that are leaning or just doesn’t look right don’t touch it. It could injure you or your child. Here are the before and after pictures.

The last few months I have been working in different township cemeteries restoring the their old monuments ( marble and granite monuments) that are 125 to 172 years old that were broken or leaning and or tipped over.

These tall monuments are removed in sections, new foundations installed, monuments cleaned, and put back together with specialized sealants and equipment.

Doing this kind of restoration is restoring the history of the community and paying respect to the people who are interred in the cemetery. Once these monuments are gone basically the history is gone with them.

I enjoy doing this kind of restoration. If you know of a cemetery that’s in need of restoration have the owners (private, church, and/or towns) contact me to see if what can be done to restore their cemeteries.

You are all probably getting sick of seeing pictures of the Pine Haven Cemetery Services work.
This picture of a monument that was buried in the ground next to a large monument that I was restoring.
The monument was unreadable and black in color. I cleaned the monument and built a monument base for the monument.
This is the monument of a 11 months old baby boy who died in 1852 171 years ago.
I restored the monument and installed it in the new base. I put the restored monument and base back were we found it. Here are the pictures.

Pine Haven Cemetery Services restored this monument with the help of the Town of Fort Covington summer crew. Monument was completely disassembled and reassembled on a new foundation. Here are the before and after pictures.
