Don't forget about ICE CREAM this Sunday at 6:00 PM!!!

Greetings and blessing to you all in the name of our loving Lord Jesus. So, how are you doing out there? As I was beginning to write this email, it hit me that I never finished my prayer time this morning. The list I use is right here next to my chair. Before proceeding with this email, I picked it up and prayed for you all as well as the others who are on my list.

Susan and I are staying very busy with the craziness of moving. It is going well, but the finish line is approaching. The semi-trailer arrives on Tuesday June 7 and we hope to have it 90-plus percent loaded by 2:00 PM on Wednesday June 8. We must have it loaded and buttoned up by Friday June 10 as they will be picking it up to get it to St. Louis by Wednesday June 22. After the big truck trailer is loaded, we need to load the 14-foot trailer we will be towing behind our pickup. We hope to have it ready on Saturday so we can leave Patterson on Sunday, June 12. Simple, right?

Again, IF you are able-bodied and can help on Wednesday from 8:00 am to 2:00 PM, PLEASE let me know. We need people who can lift light boxes as well. AND if you can help on Thursday evening to load the 14-foot trailer, let me know. NO large furniture there, just boxes and other items. If you cannot help, PLEASE PRAY for us and those who are helping.

FINAL Adventure Homemade ICE CREAM Social, SUNDAY June 3 at 6:00 PM!!! Please join us for a time of fellowship at our house. There will be our almost-famous Homemade Ice Cream. Please bring finger food to share, meaning food you eat with your bare fingers and not a fork. Cookies, brownies, cupcakes, that kind of stuff. AND bring a chair to be safe. Our stock of seating options will be diminished by Sunday. If you want more than water, bring it. Call with questions.

Thank you to those who continue to support Adventure financially. We are doing great with taking care of all our expenses. Any funds left as of July 1 will go to support the NEW Adventure which will continue on as a forwarding agent for missions and orphanages. I will continue to update you on the works we support through the New Adventure. I owe you a Precious Heritage update which came in two weeks ago.

Love and miss seeing our Adventure family. Please be sure you are searching for a new church. It is NOT easy, we get that. But it is essential to YOUR spiritual growth in Jesus to be connected to a church physically, attending and getting involved. Please remember, Susan and I will always be here for you when you need prayer. Stay in touch via texting, calls or emails.

Thank you again for all your love. We hope to see many of you Sunday at our house. Maranatha!

Growing deeper friendships with one another and with Jesus!

05/25/2022

Greetings in the name of the One who lives forever and invites us to live with Him, Jesus. The last month has been rather fast-paced for the Cali Hasekamps and there is no end in sight for the next two weeks or so.

We continue to pack smaller items and not so small, sell and give away larger items, and plan for our packout day of June 8, Estes Trucking will be dropping a twenty-eight foot trailer and ramp at our Cougar Creek headquarters on June 7. We have the 8th and 9th to get it packed so Estes can pick it up on Friday June 10th. IF you are able-bodied and can help on June 8th, please let me know.

Did we tell you all Joe, Stephanie, and Elijah moved to Cape Canaveral, Florida? Well they did and Joe started his new job with SpaceX last week. They have found a long-term rental property as they only had their current living situation for thirty-days. God has been so good to them, as they are renting a brand-new home in a new development which is all stand-alone rental homes. They went from the desert of New Mexico to the humidity of the Florida coast. The Hasekamps on the move - LOL!

HOMEMADE ICE CREAM June 5 at 6:00 PM - We are going to have ONE more time of fellowship for the Adventure family before we leave California. Please plan on bringing a dessert or finger-food to share that evening. Again, ice cream and snacks are the plan, not a meal. PLEASE plan on coming, Adventure, so we can have one more blast together.

The sound system, communion trays, paper products and more are now at Heavenly Hills!!! One May 14, I went to my last board meeting at Heavenly Hills Christian Camp. I called Jamison our on-site camp director to see if they would be interested in the sound system. No one could remember how OLD the existing system was. There was a little, single speaker system which was rather limited, but we fixed that. They gratefully accepted the entire sound system (amp, rack, mixing board, speakers, microphones, cords, etc.) AND all the communion trays and cups, AND all the paper products we had for years due to COVID shutting us down.

The TOYS from Adventure Kids went to Jessica's House in Turlock!!! Marybeth Bragdon suggested we give all the toys and kids' stuff to Jessica's House, a grief support ministry for children, teens, and young adults in Turlock. We cleaned out the kids' cabinet and gave it to Marybeth to deliver to Jessica's House.

Tom & Marybeth Bragdon were baptized May 21!!! - Marybeth has been a friend for many years, since I first came to Patterson in 2007. After several times being together, they decided to take their next step of faith and be immersed into Jesus. Pray for them as they start their new journey in Christ. God is still working through Adventure!

Family of Sandy Fariss - Sandy Fariss passed from this life to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus on May 7. Sandy was the step-mother of Jennifer Ambrosino and the wife of fifty-years to her father, Bud. It was my honor to help with the memorial service this past Saturday. Please pray for the Fariss and Ambrosino families at this time of transition without Sandy.

As I mentioned above, our timeline in California is getting very limited. We are planning on leaving Patterson on Sunday, June 12 and leaving the state Monday, June 13. Please try to make it on June 5 for the Ice Cream Social and fellowship time. We would SO like to see as many of the Adventure family one more time before leaving. There will not be time to meet with you all individually, so please use this opportunity.

We love you, church! I prayed for each of you today. With the weirdness which is our life right now, I have NOT been praying for you all daily, but more like four or five times a week. Please text when needed, especially when you have a prayer need. We prayed with a neighbor last night on the sidewalk, so Susan and I are ALWAYS here to pray for you and even with you. Again, we love you all so much, Adventure. Maranatha!

If case you are bored out of your mind, here is another story from the life of Ken Hasekamp which may not be great, but it beats mind-numbness. Who knows, it might even bring a smile your face. Many of you will learn for the first time that your preacher buddy is a truck driver. Enjoy!

Hey there, Patterson neighbors and others way beyond 95363. Thanks for letting your eyes and mind drift over these words of this nutty scribe. It really is an honor to

Happy Mother's Day and more!!!

The blessing of the King of kings to you all.

You all have NOT heard from your preacher in a couple of weeks. The last two weeks have been more than a little crazy. Our home here in Patterson went live on MLS Friday and we have had five showings yesterday and today. Tomorrow all the contracts are due by noon so we can look them over and decide which one or ones we will accept in order to move forward with a sale. Please pray for us and this process. To our God be all the glory.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all our moms out there. I hope you all had time to speak or see your family and receive love from them.

We are so thankful for the technology which allows us to speak face to face with our children in three other time zones. We did NOT see our Albuquerque kids today as they have officially moved from their home there and are living for a few days with friends, so their schedule is way off. They begin the drive towards Florida and their new lives tomorrow. Please pray for Joe and his family.

So, there is a LOT happening in the Hasekamp clan. AND there is lots of news about the NEW Adventure as well. More on that later this week. We even have an update on the number of college students currently and about to enroll. Very exciting!

Love you all, church. I pray you are each seeking new places to worship and fellowship on Sunday mornings. Please remember we are still having Bible Study at the Hasekamp Ranch on Tuesday nights at 6:30 PM. We had to cancel last week due to the house needing our full attention. We will be finishing up on John 11 this week. Call me if you have any questions.

Maranatha!

Giving through the website is back up and working!!!

In the name of the Lord Jesus, blessing and peace to you all. I have not prayed for you yet today, Adventure family. My day has been a little crazy with activity in the office, so prayer time will happen in just a few minutes. As always, please let me know when you need something brought before our Heavenly Father.

The website is working for giving!!! Susan took care of our tithe on it, so we are good to go on that giving platform. We still need to have the website worked on and updated but the giving portion is working great, praise the Lord! We are looking for a person who knows how to do such on websites. If you have those skills and are able to give an hour or so, please let me know.

Website: adventurepatterson.org

Once you have clicked on the giving button, you can designate where your gift will go. Please consider continuing to support Adventure for the next two months. The Ministry Team has agreed to continue to pay my salary and benefits through June, plus there are other expenses which are winding down, so the need is still very real. PLUS, we would like to continue to support some of our missions through June. Any funds leftover after June 30, will go to fund the NEW Adventure. More on that very soon.

We received some reports from many of you about the churches you attended this past Sunday. Sometimes it takes a few weeks to begin to feel comfortable in a new setting. Unless there is something which REALLY feels off, give any new church a few weeks so you can check the fit for you. I am praying about that for all of you to find new places to worship and serve.

Please pray for Susan and I as to the sale of our home here in Patterson. Next week our house will be listed on Friday, May 6 with an open house to follow that Saturday. For that to happen, we have to get a LOT done. Progress on packing is going well, praise the Lord. Again, we need your prayers, church. To our God be the glory!

Love all you all! Susan and I are here if you need us. Maranatha!

Here is our worship service from this past Sunday, Resurrection Sunday 2022. It was also our LAST Sunday for Adventure Patterson. I want to thank those who came to Sunrise Service AND our Worship time. Watch for MORE information on the NEW Adventure as we will be continuing as a Kingdom tool to the glory of our God. He is RISEN...RISEN indeed!!! Maranatha!

The latest for the Adventure Family!!!

The blessing of our Risen Lord, Savior, and friend, Jesus, to you all. All of our Patterson friends and family received a lovely rain shower this afternoon. What an amazing amount of rain for which I am thankful. BUT for the cherry farmers, such rain could be disastrous. Water droplets on the cherries can cause them to split and ruin them. One person's blessing is not always universal.

This past Sunday at Adventure was exactly what I had hoped it would be. No, everyone who I had hoped we would see did not come to either the sunrise service (twenty souls in attendance) or the worship service (45 souls for worship). There were several families and individuals in both services who we had not seen in years. That was so wonderful and such a blessing. Total, we had fifty-two different souls in the two services. It was the largest group for us in the high school auditorium. Again, a fantastic day. Thank you to all who came.

This coming Sunday will be WEIRD for all of us who were accustomed to meeting at Adventure together. Susan and I will be out of town. It will be the first time we have ever been gone from Patterson on a Saturday night AND still in the state of California. Again, WEIRD! We have a plan for our worship time. You each need to get a plan. Do NOT just isolate and not honor our God. We will be checking on you all, so don't make me get all crazy-pastor on you for not going to church or at least getting some good teaching from the Bible.

The sermon from this past Sunday is attached like normal. It was the final message in our Confusing Terms in the Bible on the very vital subject of The Physical, Bodily Resurrection of Jesus from the Dead! If follows a very simple progression highlighting the physical facts surrounding the birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus. I so enjoyed this study and I am praying it was a challenge and a help to those who heard it, watched it and will watch it. To our God be the glory.

The NEW ADVENTURE has begun!!! What do I mean by the NEW ADVENTURE? Even though we are NOT meeting together any longer, Adventure will continue doing Kingdom work by acting as a forward agent for orphanages in southeast Asia. The MInistry Team authorized us to move forward with this plan to continue to benefit the orphans and ministries which serve them. More on this in the very near future.

We still need your financial support at Adventure!!! We will still have many bills and we still want to continue to support our missions through May and June. PLEASE consider continuing to give your tithing and offerings to Adventure. The best way right now is to drop a check in the mail made out to Adventure and mailed to the following:
Adventure Christian Church
P,O, Box 928
Patterson, CA 95363

AND please continue to pray for your preacher and my wife as there are so many things before us which need our attention, including the sale of our home here. I promise to keep praying for you all, so if you have a prayer need arise, then LET ME KNOW via email, text or an old fashion phone call. If you use option THREE, then I can pray with you as well add that need to my daily prayer list.

Love you, church. That will NOT change. All glory to our God and to His Son, Jesus. Maranatha!

Tomorrow is RESURRECTION SUNDAY and our final Sunday of Adventure!!!

He has RISEN, He has RISEN indeed! Blessings to you all in the name of Jesus who is alive right now and seated at the right hand of His Father and our Father in the heavenly throne room. Tomorrow we will be celebrating this at Adventure for the final time as a church family together. Please come to one or both of the services we are holding this Sunday, April 17:

SUNRISE SERVICE at the Sports Park tomorrow morning!!! Please join us at 6:15 am for one of our annual traditions at Adventure. Sunrise Service is back at the Sports Park on south Ward Avenue, approximately one mile south of Sperry on the edge of the city. After a brief time of singing and reading the story of the resurrection of Jesus while we watch the sunrise, we will share in some food. Bring something to share. Coffee is coming. We are bringing water, paper products and some mini-cinnamon rolls from Costco (yum!). Bring something or just COME! We will done by 7:30 am or so.

Our FINAL Sunday Worship Service at Adventure!!! It is the end of a wonderful era as we will be meeting to worship our God and His Son Jesus for the final time as the Adventure church here in Patterson. Please come to the Patterson High School Auditorium, 200 North Seventh Street right here in Patterson. Come early for a donut and some coffee and fellowship. We will end the service with a special time of prayer together, so do not miss this special day.

Special note: Our apps on the Android and Apple platforms should be dead by now. We will have the website giving going again in the next two weeks. PLEASE remember to keep giving to Adventure for the next couple of months. We have many expenses which will need to continue over the next months (at least through June). If you have any questions about this, please talk to me. Please keep praying for me in all of this as there is much to do.

Tuesday Night Bible Study at the Hasekamp Ranch: At 6:30 pm, we are still going to be having our weekly Bible Study at 1373 Cougar Creek Drive here in Patterson. We are going to be studying the account of Lazarus being raised from the dead after four days from John 11 over the next couple of weeks. Call me if you have any questions about joining us.

Please keep the Adventure family in your prayers, church. I am committed to praying for you all for the next months. ALL of you need to find another place to fellowship. Stay in touch to encourage each other and find out what churches in the area are working for each of you. Yes, this is a difficult process for ALL of us.

Then please remember to pray for Susan and your preacher. We have someone coming over on Wednesday to talk to us about selling the house. We are trusting our God to help everything fall into place to His glory. I will keep you informed via email as to our progress.

AND please keep in touch with your prayer needs and more through calls, texts, Facebook messages, and email. Susan and I are ALWAYS here for each of you as needed for the rest of our lives on this earth. Yes, I mean that, church.

I hope to see more of you tomorrow than we have in the last two-plus years. Come celebrate Jesus AND learn more about The Physical, Bodily Resurrection of Jesus from the Dead as we continue in our Confusing Terms in the Bible. Read Luke 24:1-8 for preparation for the message. Maranatha!

SUNRISE SERVICE THIS SUNDAY:

We will be meeting at the Sports Park south of the city on Ward Avenue at 6:15 am (gate opens at 6:00 am for set up) for our final Sunrise Service, an Adventure tradition since Resurrection Day 2012. We missed 2020 due to Rona's visit, but we have several folks request it this final time. So, bring something to share as far as food. After we celebrate the bodily resurrection of Jesus from the Bible and in song as we watch the sun come up, we will have a time of food and fellowship. Coffee, water, plates, cups and napkins will be provided. Call if you have a question about what to bring.

Here is the message from this past Sunday on Confusing Terms in the Bible: The Holy Spirit. The actual worship starts at around the 9:30 mark. In the NAME which gives us a reason to celebrate Resurrection Day, Jesus the Christ of God, greetings and peace. I want to cut directly to the prayer request which I just learned about from an email.

Family of Sandra Adams Sukuta at the passing of your mother - Sydney, Sandra's husband, sent me an email yesterday to let me know Sandra's mother had passed from this life. She had been hospitalized last month, but was back home recovering. Sandra has been caring for her mother since 2019. Please pray for the Sukuta and Adams families as they go through this time of saying goodbye.

Next, I want to thank all of those who came over to the Hasekamp ranch for lunch this past Sunday. We so enjoyed our time of laughter and sharing. The last person left around 3:30 PM. AND thank you to a special brother for buying the pizza. We will be having a homemade ice cream get together in May, as we need to have another time with our Adventure family.

The Adventure Apps will be going away!!! Yesterday, I had a conversation with our Subsplash company who supplies us with our apps for Android and Apple formats. In the next day or two, those apps will cease to exist. You will still be able to give to Adventure through our website, but it may take a few days to get that giving platform back online. Yes, this is all complicated. The website will stay up and going for years or so is our goal. More on that to come.

Giving to Adventure: Please continue to give to Adventure through June. We are hoping to fund some of our missions through June, plus there are many expenses which will continue for the next months. Each month our costs will go down, but not go away completely. Any additional funds not needed to keep things going through June will help fund the new Adventure as a mission conduit/forwarding agent. More on THAT to come.

SUNRISE SERVICE THIS SUNDAY: We will be meeting at the Sports Park south of the city on Ward Avenue at 6:15 am (gate opens at 6:00 am for set up) for our final Sunrise Service, an Adventure tradition since Resurrection Day 2012.

OUR FINAL WORSHIP SERVICE AT ADVENTURE!!! If you are thinking about waiting ONE MORE WEEK before you come back to Adventure, you will completely miss the train. This Sunday, April 17, Resurrection Sunday 2022, is our final time to meet at a church body. Please join us at 10:30 am at Patterson High School Auditorium for this special service.

Attached to this email are the full notes from this past Sunday's sermon. It was our next in the series Confusing Terms in the Bible. The message was mainly from the Gospel of John as we talked about The Holy Spirit. These are the promises made by Jesus to His disciples about the Holy Spirit just hours before His betrayal and arrest.

Please continue to pray for your preacher. There is so much to do over the next weeks both to close some things out as well as to get the new direction for Adventure off the ground. Please pray for my wisdom and for the right people to come into the picture to help with it. I will continue to pray for each of you for several months to come. AND you can always reach out to Susan and I when you have a prayer need. ALWAYS! Many people do from our past.

Love you, Adventure. Maranatha!
