Jesus describes the final judgment, when the Son of Man will separate people as a shepherd separates sheep from goats. The sheep represent those who have shown genuine love by feeding the hungry, welcoming strangers, caring for the sick, and visiting prisoners.
This parable teaches that our relationship with Christ becomes visible in how we treat vulnerable people. When we serve โthe least of these,โ we serve Jesus Himself. Christian faith is expressed not only through words or worship but also through compassion, justice, mercy, and practical action.

This Sunday is the first of the month, which means it is a Communion Sunday. If you, a member of your family, or a friend is unable to travel to the church in-person to receive Communion, Pastor Mesake is available to administer Communion at home. If you or someone you know would benefit from this service, please contact him directly at (510) 731-9514.
The Pastor makes weekly welfare checks (Physical or Phone calls) for members of the congregation when needed. These visits may also be extended to your friends and neighbors if requested. For urgent matters, please contact the church office during regular office hours or inform the pastor directly. Pastor Mesakeโs in-person office hours for the month of July are Tuesday through Friday from 10 AM to 1 PM, and Friday & Saturdays from 9 AM to 12 PM.
