Pleasant View Baptist Church first came into being because of the faith of a young Christian man, Virgil Anthony, because of his interest for the spiritul needs of the community, a Sunday School was organized in Via's school in 1933. Under the leadership of Rev.D.F.Roach, from Blackberry Baptist Church, and Rev.W.J.Yeaman, from First Baptist Church in Bassett, Pleasant View Baptist Church was orga

nized with six members May 25, 1935. Thoses members were: Mr.& Mrs. Wilbert Spencer, Mrs. Bessie Craig, Mrs. Dovie Joyce and Mr. & Mrs.E.S.Moore. The land for the church and cemetery was donated by Mr. Burton Joyce.

Hilltoppers will start back soon! Lois Ratliff will be in charge this year . First meeting will be pot luck at the church and play bingo...Also meetings will be on 1st Tue of the month. Mark your calendar

HOMECOMING August 9th Come at 9:30 for Sunday school and 10:30 Service and 11:30 for lunch. Visit with old friends and New ones.
