Attn: All those celebrating Passover – and friends of The Paterson Shul from near and far:

We’re just about one week away from Passover 5786 and it’s been quite a year so far, but one thing is a constant — our Paterson Minyanim around the holidays! Our Passover Minyanim will be as follows:

Saturday, April 4 9:00a.m.
&
Thursday, April 9 9:00a.m.
Yizkor approximately 10:30a.m.

The Paterson Shul is located at 510 East 27th Street (corner of 12th Avenue) in the basement level – just across from the old Yavneh Academy – before they moved to Paramus in 1983.

I am very thankful to my fellow FairLawnites for helping me over the years to make sure that there is a Minyan for the senior citizens living just across county lines, where we fulfill several great Mitzvot including Tefillah, Chessed, Torah and Bikur Cholim. These are just a few of the giant pillars of our religion, culture and people.

I'd like to ask members of the Jewish community to help make any of the upcoming Minyanim and take a little Exodus of your own from what might be your normal routine for Passover, and help make the Minyan in the Paterson Shul.

You can also participate in other ways or help support the synagogue with a donation of any amount made out to the Paterson Shul at Seniors Tower of Paterson. We also are a 501c3 organization.

PURIM Megillah reading and Minyan UPDATE:

There will NOT be a Monday night (March 2)service due to an unexpected last-minute issue. I will be transporting the folks to Fair Lawn instead!

We arw STILL ON for the Tuesday morning (March 3) service beginning at 9:30a.m. shachrit with Megillah to follow around 10-10:10a.m.

We cancelled our upcoming shabbat minyan (Sat. dec. 13) in paterson this week for a few reasons plus it’s mighty cold out there…see you in 2026! Wishing everyone a Chankuah Sameach!

Due to the inclement weather/storm and because many of our regular attendees will not be available this Shabbat as we originally planned - and we will not have a Minyan until TUESDAY —

Tuesday, October 14th .m. – Shmeini Atzeret (3 hour service) led by the great Nachum Nachum - Sefardic style!

Please join us for an amazing Davening and Leyning and Duchaning and of course Yizkor - led by Cantor Mitch Radinsky!

Wednesday NIGHT, October 1 – Kol Nidre 6:30p.m. followed by Ma’ariv

Thursday, October 2nd @ 9a.m. – Yom Kippur (Shacharis/Mussaf only) We plan to have a 3-4 hour service with Cantor Mitch who will also lead the Yizkor service.

Saturday, October 11th .m. – Sukkot (Shabbat Chol Hamoed) Kiddush in the Paterson Sukkah!

Tuesday, October 14th .m. – Shmeini Atzeret

A reminder about the remaining High Holiday Minyanim - we can use your help!

PATERSON SHUL WELCOMES WALK-IN’S FOR THE HIGH HOLIDAYS

“ THE SHORTEST MINYAN WITH THE LONGEST WALK”

We had just above the 10-men minimum for a Minyan earlier today for Rosh Hashanah.

I led Shachris and Shofar…was a little tired when we got home in Fair Lawn, but well worth the sacrifice!

We had a few kids join us too and glad they were able to participate!

Consider something different in 5786: A very “abridged” Minyan just over the Fair Lawn bridges for any of the remaining Yom Tovim:

Wednesday NIGHT, October 1 – Kol Nidre 6:30p.m. followed by Ma’ariv

[This is definitly a need for more participants!]

Thursday, October 2nd @ 9a.m. – Yom Kippur (Shacharis/Mussaf only)
