CALVARY FAMILY, LET US REMEMBER SISTER KRYSTAL LASSITER IN PRAYER

As the family prepares to celebrate the life of Deacon Henry Richardson, I am asking the Calvary Baptist Church family to surround Sister Krystal Lassiter and the entire Richardson family with our love, prayers, and support.

If you looked in the dictionary under the words “helpful servant,” you just might find a picture of Deacon Richardson.

He was a thoughtful, compassionate man who never seemed too busy to give his time, energy, wisdom, or a helping hand to someone in need. He didn’t just talk about serving others—he lived it.

But for me, this loss is also personal.

I had the privilege of being his son-in-law, and during those years, he treated me like a son. He loved me, cared for me, supported me, and always treated me with kindness and respect. I will never forget the way he embraced me and stood with me, and I will always be grateful for the place he held in my life.

His life reminds us that some of the greatest sermons are never preached from a pulpit—they are lived through kindness, generosity, faithfulness, and service.

Deacon Richardson leaves behind more than memories. He leaves the legacy of a life that made life better for other people.

Calvary, let us honor that legacy by keeping Krystal and the entire Richardson family lifted before the Lord.

Rest well, Deacon Henry Richardson.

A servant.
A gentleman.
A life well lived.
And a man I will always be grateful to have called family.
