06-17-26 Wednesday Evening Service "Peace, Peace?" - Jeremiah 6:13-15
In our passage, the period of time is before the Babylonians take the Israelites into captivity. The nation of Israel "from the least of them unto the greatest" (v13) is in a generally sinful state, with "covetousness" and "every one dealeth falsely." In v14, the people think there in a time of peace when there actually is no peace. In v15, the Lord will cast them down with the coming Babylonian invasion.

Let's pray for the Middle East situation and that peace would truly be achieved.

06-10-26 Wednesday Evening Service "The 12 Tribes of Israel - the Missing Tribes" - Rev 7:4-8, Rev 21:12, Ezekiel 48:31-34, Rev 21:9-12

The 12 sons of Jacob/Israel are Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Issachar, Zebulun, Joseph, & Benjamin. Joseph's two sons Ephraim & Manasseh also factor in as half tribes in lieu of Joseph.

The follow list of the 12 leaves out two names.

Rev 7:4-8 - The tribes of Dan & Ephraim are missing, with Joseph & Manasseh included. Possible explanations - in Old Testament times, the tribe of Dan was involved in adultery and the tribe Ephraim was involved in idolatry.

Remember that God is sovereign & holy, loving & wise, and He has a purpose in everything. Ask God to help you see what He is doing in your life, what He wants you to learn from it, and to give you the faith to trust Him.
