Happy Independence Day from all of us at LCC! 🇺🇸
Today America turns 250! A quarter-millennium of a grand experiment in liberty. As we celebrate, we remember that true and lasting freedom is a gift from God.
George Washington: “It is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and favor.”
Ronald Reagan: “Freedom is a fragile thing and is never more than one generation away from extinction. It is not ours by way of inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once to a people.”
May we be a people who steward this freedom well and who point every generation to the One who sets us truly free.
