It was truly a step of faith, holding on tightly to God's loving and guiding hand. In 2008 a small group of people met for the first time to hear Pastor Tim Mensing share his vision for a church that would make a difference for Christ. We opened our doors officially on December 7, 2008 in a small school cafeteria. Then, in November 2009 we moved into our current location at the Centennial Park ban
quet rooms on Nickerson Drive. The facility continues to meet our needs, with awesome support from the City of Paso Robles Parks & Recreation staff. From the beginning we've been a portable church. We are not opposed to permanent buildings, but for now the Lord has put on our heart's to use His resources for ministry, rather than maintaining a building. From the very beginning we've aligned with Jesus' ministry model, that we do church as a team. Doing church as a team makes for a much stronger and unified church, and doesn't expect a few individuals to carry all the responsibility. We are contemporary in worship, casual in dress, and most importantly Christ-centered in our teachings.
1. We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
2. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit
3. We believe that man was created in the image of God, but as a result of sin is lost and powerless to save himself.
4. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
5. We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells those who have received Christ for the purpose of enabling them to live righteous and Godly lives.
6. We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ and is composed of all those who through belief in Christ have been spiritually regenerated by the indwelling Holy Spirit. The mission of the church is worldwide evangelization on the one hand and the nurture and discipline of Christians on the other.
7. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in Christ.
