Giving a little Christmas cheer and joy this morning to all the inmates at Jackson County ADC. Bags of hope filled with goodies and inspiration were provided for this effort from over 20 churches, organizations, and individuals. THANKS to all who contributed and shared God's love during this wonderful season.

Fifty four years of this just aint enough

Dear friends and supporters, This next week is my last week as Chaplain of the Jackson County ADC. I am retiring as God has instructed me and turning the reigns over to my brother, Dwayne Doyle. Dwayne has extensive experience in ministry and has been called of God to move into this position. I am certain that he will do a wonderful job.

As I move forward, I am filled with anticipation as well as anxiety and sadness. While it is surely painful to leave a ministry that God called me to after 9 years, It is at the same time exciting to anticipate what God will have me doing next. I will sadly miss the wonderful people and fellow laborers that I have come to know along the way -- You who are reading this are one of them.

Yet I was reminded and encouraged this morning by a quote from one of my favorite authors, Charles Spurgeon, "The sovereignty of God is the pillow upon which the child of God rests his head at night, giving perfect peace." So it is on that sovereignty that I rest my head.

Thank you for your support and interest in the correctional ministry at JCADC. Please continue to pray for and support the new Chaplain. I love you all.
