eet weekly (Wednesdays 7pm Pacific in-person at ABVM's Community Center) and have some gatherings on weekends as well. Catch one of our members at Mass, or contact us for more information. We would love to meet you!

Happy Monday, YAMily!

It was wonderful spending time with you all this past week. On Wednesday, we gathered back at ABVM for the first time in a couple months and shared some stories about how our summers have been. We also took some time to submit ideas for what we want YAM to look like going forward - what we’d like to see more of, and how YAM can be more meaningful to our community.

As we continue our weekly get-togethers, here’s how you can get plugged in this week...

On Wednesday 9/9, we will come together as Karla leads us in a Prayer Night at the ABVM Community Center, located at 651 N. Sierra Madre Blvd. Pasadena, CA 91107. Doors will open at 7pm and we will get into the evening’s activities at 7.30pm.

Also, if you’ve seen a flyer for the 10th YAMiversary celebration on Saturday, Sep 12th, please note that the date has changed.
We will now be celebrating the 10th anniversary of our ministry after YAM Mass on Sunday, Sep 20th. Come join us for Mass and stay for lunch & fellowship!

Happy Monday, YAMily!

It was wonderful spending time with you all this past week. On Wednesday, we joined our friends at the Newman Center to watch the final episode of Season 5 of The Chosen.

As we continue our weekly get-togethers, here’s how you can get plugged in this week...

On Wednesday 9/2, we will return to our usual Wednesday night gatherings at the ABVM Community Center, located at 651 N. Sierra Madre Blvd. Pasadena, CA 91107. This week will be a welcome back from our summer run of The Chosen, along with discussing what we want our Fall to look like for YAM. Doors will open at 7pm and we will get into the evening’s activities at 7.30pm.

Happy Monday, YAMily!

It was wonderful spending time with you all this past week. On Wednesday, we joined our friends at St. Luke’s to watch the seventh episode of Season 5 of The Chosen.

Then, on Saturday we teamed up with the Friars Poor of Jesus Christ to serve our brothers and sisters in need on Skid Row.

As we continue our weekly get-togethers, here’s how you can get plugged in this week...

On Wednesday 8/26, we will watch the finale of Season 5 of The Chosen at Newman Center located at 101 S. Hill Ave. Pasadena, CA 91106. Doors will open at 7pm and we will get into the film at 7:30pm.

Happy Monday, YAMily!

It was wonderful spending time with you all this past week. On Wednesday, we joined our friends at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton to watch the sixth episode of Season 5 of The Chosen. Those of you who’ve seen previous seasons of The Chosen may remember Nicodemus, the Pharisee who comes to believe Jesus is the Messiah. He returns this episode from a faraway trip, and we see him studying Scripture feverishly, trying to determine what will happen to Jesus as the Passover rapidly arrives.

We also see Judas’ negotiation with Caiaphas, the Chief Priest, for the arrest of Jesus. It’s clear Judas knows what he’s doing is wrong, but the seeds of doubt that Jesus is truly the Son of God propel Judas to make the decision to betray Him. Where do we let doubt harm our relationship with Jesus?

Then, on Saturday we joined the rest of the parish at the annual Assumption Parish Picnic. We helped facilitate games for the kids, who had a delightful time outside on a beautiful day.

As we continue our weekly get-togethers, here’s how you can get plugged in this week...

On Wednesday 8/19, we will continue our tour of the San Gabriel Valley as we watch The Chosen Season 5 Episode 7 at St. Luke’s located at 5605 Cloverly Ave. Temple City, CA 91780. Doors will open at 7pm and we will get into the film at 7.30pm.

Then, on Saturday 8/22 we will be going to our monthly Skid Row Ministry event. We begin at 2pm at the Friary (3763 E 4th St. in LA) by making sandwiches, and then we distribute them to people in need around 3.30pm at 6th & Towne. If you have any questions or would like to RSVP your attendance, reach out to Tyler at (949) 377-5921.

ABVM YAM is celebrating its 10 year anniversary next month! We will be hosting a fun evening with the theme pick your favorite decade! Dressing up in your favorite decade outfit is greatly encouraged! There will be a $20 dollar entrance fee that will include food!

Happy Monday, YAMily!

It was wonderful spending time with you all this past week. On Thursday, we joined our friends at Nativity Parish to watch the fifth episode of Season 5 of The Chosen. The disciples continue to become uneasy as they realize the Crucifixion of Jesus is impending, including a chaotic scene where they try to figure out what will happen to them, despite Jesus foretelling them of His death and Resurrection.

Something to reflect on this week... where in our lives do we miss what Jesus is telling us because of the chaos around us or in our minds?

Then, on Saturday we got together to enjoy a delightful day together, starting at the Old World Biergarten, followed by some beach time in Huntington Beach and a delicious rooftop dinner at Aloha Grill. We are grateful for such a wonderful YAM community and the friendships that have come from this group, and we look forward to welcoming even more new friends in the future!

As we continue our weekly get-togethers, here’s how you can get plugged in this week...

On Wednesday 8/12, we will continue our tour of the San Gabriel Valley as we watch The Chosen Season 5 Episode 6 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton (SEAS) located at 1835 Larkvane Rd. Rowland Heights, CA 91748. Doors will open at 7pm and we will get into the film at 7.30pm.

Then on Saturday 8/15, we will be helping out at the ABVM Parish-wide Picnic by facilitating games for the children. The picnic runs from 10am-2pm, but we encourage YAMs to arrive anytime after 8.30am to help with setup and then help organize games for the kiddos.

The picnic will be at Victory Park which is within walking distance of ABVM Parish. We encourage you to park either at the church parking lot (2640 E. Orange Grove Blvd. Pasadena, CA 91107), on the street on Orange Grove Blvd., or in the North Lot on the NW corner of Orange Grove & Sierra Madre.
