The Salvation Army 🤝 National Donut Day

Did you know that the sweet treat we all love played an important role in The Salvation Army’s history? began with the bravery of Salvation Army volunteers during WWI. These “Donut Lassies” were on the front lines, providing supplies, spiritual comfort and, of course, donuts. 🍩

Today we had the privilege of gathering with community leaders, supporters, and friends to celebrate a truly remarkable woman at our Others Award Luncheon.

The Others Award recognizes individuals who embody the spirit of service by putting the needs of others before themselves. This year, we were honored to present the award to Kim Darian, whose compassion, generosity, and unwavering commitment to our community have made a lasting impact on countless lives.

Kim’s heart for people and her faithful support of The Salvation Army’s mission have helped bring hope, dignity, and practical assistance to those facing some of life’s greatest challenges. We are grateful for her leadership, partnership, and example.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating Kim and supporting the work of The Salvation Army in Pasadena. It was a beautiful afternoon filled with gratitude, inspiration, and a shared commitment to serving others.

Congratulations, Kim Darian, and thank you for living out the spirit of “Others.”

Yesterday, The Salvation Army Pasadena Tabernacle hosted our Community Connect Day!

With nearly 40 agencies and nonprofit organizations represented, individuals and families were able to connect with valuable resources, services, and support all in one place. We were grateful to welcome over 100 community members throughout the event.

Thank you to all of our incredible partners, staff, and volunteers who helped make this day possible. Collaboration like this strengthens our community and reminds us that hope happens when we come together to serve others.
