Our Story
People Matter To Us
Unite Church is a uniquely diverse church that desires everyone to come as they are. It was founded on a desire to unite the people of Pasadena with God and with others. In 2014, Lead Pastor Jeff Snodgrass, felt a tug on his heart to do something he “would never do”- plant a church. Over the next several years, he started taking the necessary steps and God started paving the way to one of the most diverse cities in America, Pasadena, CA.
In 2015, Jeff asked God to provide a worship pastor and along came Ashley Beckford. Jeff and his wife Julie, along with Ashley and her husband Lance, decided to take a bold step of faith. The statistics were daunting: 1 in 2 church plants fail. But taking the risk was worth it if they could win even one for Christ. They left the comfort of their jobs and community to follow the call that God had placed on their lives.
In April of 2016, Unite Church had its first core team meeting. They prayed. They worshipped. And they asked God to go before them. What has followed has been an incredible journey of God's faithfulness and provision. A church that started with a small thought is now striving to unite people into a genuine, hope-filled relationship with God and genuine community with others.
