Our Louis B. Silver Religious School took the day off for the long weekend. What better time to share what we've been up to during the first couple of weeks of the school year!?

We kicked things off with our annual back-to-school pancake breakfast hosted by PJTC's Men's Club, got to know Natalie, our new Director of Youth and Family Education, a little better, celebrated together at our annual pool party, and, of course, spent plenty of time learning together.

We also gathered for our first minyan co-lead by upcoming b'mitzvah students, and started getting ready for the High Holy Days.

And our 7th graders marked a special milestone at the beach, celebrating and affirming their Jewish identities together.

Our thoughts are with the tight-knit Jewish community in Cali and all the people of Colombia as the focus shifts to long-term recovery after the devastating earthquake. is a Jewish humanitarian aid organization that helps on the ground, alongside foreign rescue workers from Israel and other countries.
