🎁 What if one of the greatest gifts in your life is something you could never earn?

Today’s service focuses on “Undeserved - Acts of God.”

In 1 John 5, we are reminded that God Himself testifies about who Jesus is: the promised Savior, the Son of God, and the Christ. Our faith does not rest simply on human opinion or our own experiences - it rests on God’s testimony and His promises. ✝️

And those promises are not just words.

Through the sacraments, God continues to work in our lives. The Spirit, the water, and the blood bear witness to Christ and to His saving work. In baptism and Holy Communion, we receive gifts of grace that we could never earn or deserve.

That changes the way we look at faith.

We don't have to prove ourselves worthy before coming to Christ. We come because He has already acted for us. ❤️

And when we receive His grace, we are called to respond - by remaining faithful, by trusting His promises, and by letting our faith become visible in the way we live.

So what might that look like this week?

Maybe it's forgiveness.
Maybe it's choosing integrity when nobody is watching.
Maybe it's an unexpected act of love.
Maybe it's simply serving someone who needs it.

Nothing dramatic is required. Sometimes the most meaningful testimony to Jesus is found in the ordinary things we do with a faithful heart. 🙏

God gives us what we could never earn.

May we receive His grace with gratitude, keep our hope fixed on Christ, and testify to Him through the way we live. ❤️

🌸 One church. Many people. One Christ.

Jesus prayed something remarkable shortly before His suffering and death:

“I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one.” - John 17:20-21

And He wasn’t only praying for the disciples standing around Him.

He was praying for us.

Oneness in Christ doesn’t mean uniformity. We don’t all have the same personality, gifts, background, experiences, or way of seeing things. We are more like a colorful flower meadow - different flowers, different colors, different shapes - yet growing together in the same soil. 🌷🌻🌺

Our oneness begins much closer to home than “the Church.” It begins in the heart.

It grows in our families, in our relationships, in our congregations - and ultimately becomes a witness to the world of who Christ is. ❤️

So perhaps the question for today isn't simply, “Are we united?”

But rather:

🌱 What am I bringing into the oneness Jesus prayed for?

Am I bringing love?
Grace?
Patience?
Understanding?
A willingness to see Christ in someone who is different from me?

Because the oneness of the Church is both a gift from God - and something we are called to live.

May Christ draw us closer to Him today, and in doing so, closer to one another.

🤝 What if reconciliation isn’t just something we receive from God - but something we are called to carry into the world?

This Sunday, we look at another mark of the Church - its apostolicity - through the message and the messenger.

Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 5:20

“Now, then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us; we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.”

At the heart of the apostolic message is something deeply personal: reconciliation with God. ❤️

We have been reconciled to God through Christ - yet our journey doesn’t end there. Because we continue to fall short, we continue to need repentance, grace, and the invitation to come back to God.

And there is no “do-it-yourself” path.

God gives us His Word, the sacraments, and His Church - and He also gives us one another. Through human messengers, His message of grace continues to be proclaimed:
Be reconciled to God.

But there’s another beautiful part to this message.
We don’t leave Holy Communion only forgiven - we leave as reconcilers. 🕊️

So what might that look like in our lives?

Where there is distance - can we take a step toward someone?
Where there is hurt - can we choose grace?
Where there is conflict - can we become peacemakers?
And where we ourselves have fallen short - can we stop trying to fix it all on our own and simply return to Christ?

The Church is not merely a building or a place we gather. It is us - believers who have received Christ’s grace and are called to make His love and gospel visible in the world.

Tomorrow, let’s reflect on the message… and on the messengers God uses to carry it. 🙏

💙 Is there someone you still need to forgive?

Sometimes we think forgiveness is about the other person.

But Jesus teaches something much deeper.

When we pray, "Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors," we're reminded that the forgiveness we receive from God and the forgiveness we extend to others belong together. They cannot be separated.

God has forgiven us far more than we could ever repay. His grace is endless. And when that grace truly reaches our hearts, it begins to change how we look at those who have hurt us.

Forgiveness isn't pretending nothing happened.
It isn't saying the pain wasn't real.
It isn't forgetting.

Forgiveness is choosing not to let bitterness have the final word. ❤️

Sometimes forgiving is one of the hardest things we are ever asked to do. We may need God's strength every single day. But every small step toward forgiveness is also a step toward freedom - for ourselves.

Today, let's ask ourselves:

* Is there someone I still need to forgive?
* Is there something I still need to place into God's hands?
* Have I truly accepted the incredible forgiveness that God has already given me?

🍞 What do we really need today?

We spend so much of our lives planning for tomorrow - saving, preparing, worrying, and wondering what lies ahead.

Yet in the Lord's Prayer, Jesus teaches us to pray for something beautifully simple:

"Give us this day our daily bread." (Matthew 6:11)

Not next week's bread. Not next year's security. Just today's.

This isn't because God doesn't care about our future. It's because He wants us to discover something greater than certainty - trust.

Just as God provided manna one day at a time for His people in the wilderness, He continues to provide what we truly need. Sometimes it's strength. Sometimes it's wisdom. Sometimes it's comfort, forgiveness, hope... and always, the true Bread of Life - Jesus Christ.

But notice something else: Jesus doesn't teach us to pray, "Give me my daily bread." He teaches us to pray, "Give us this day our daily bread."

Our prayer is never just about ourselves. As God provides for us, He also invites us to become part of His provision for others - a kind word, a helping hand, a shared meal, an encouraging message, or simply being present for someone in need.

As we gather for worship today, let's reflect:

What am I truly relying on for peace and satisfaction?
Am I trusting God for today?
And how might He use me to answer someone else's prayer this week?

🙏 May God strengthen our faith, provide what we truly need, and help us become a blessing to those around us.

👑 **What kind of world are you longing for?**

One without hatred... without fear... without suffering... where peace isn't temporary and love isn't the exception.

Every time we pray, "Your kingdom come," we're expressing that longing. But Jesus reminds us of something extraordinary: while we wait for His glorious return, His kingdom has already begun - in hearts that allow Him to reign.

The Kingdom of God isn't only a destination. It's a way of living.

✨ It changes how we forgive.
✨ It changes how we speak.
✨ It changes how we love.
✨ It changes how we respond when life doesn't go our way.

Where Christ is King, His kingdom becomes visible.

This Sunday we'll reflect on what it means to live between the promise and its fulfillment - to embrace both the hope of Christ's return and the joy of experiencing His kingdom today.

May our prayer not simply be "Your kingdom come," but also "Your kingdom be seen in me."
