Bring a Transformative Grief Ministry to Your Parish

The Diocese of Southwest Florida has been selected as one of only a handful of locations nationwide to host facilitator training for Walking the Mourner’s Path, a powerful ministry that helps congregations support those navigating grief and loss.

The training will take place at DaySpring Camp & Conference Center, July 30–August 1, and early registration discounts are available. To make this opportunity a reality, we need at least 10 participants to register.

If your church is looking for meaningful ways to care for those who are grieving, consider becoming a trained facilitator and bringing this life-changing ministry to your parish. Learn more and register at: https://www.mournerspath.com/grief-facilitator-training.html

This past Saturday, June 6, the Diocese of Southwest Florida gathered in celebration at Cathedral Church of St. Peter as the Rt. Rev. Douglas F. Scharf ordained Miranda Harrison-Quillin to the Sacred Order of Priests and Peter John Dombrowski to the Sacred Order of Deacons.

Surrounded by family, friends, clergy, and members of the diocesan community, the service marked an important milestone in the ministries of both Miranda and Peter as they answered God’s call in new ways. The congregation joined together in prayer and joyful celebration.

As Miranda and Peter begin this new chapter of ministry, we give thanks for their faithful witness and ask for God’s blessing upon them as they serve Christ and God’s people in the years ahead.
