Seek and saving the lost. Our church was founded by our pastor Brother H. Wayne Taylor. Brother Wayne listened. We invite any and all to come worship with us.

When his younger brother was tragically killed in a car accident, in his grief, he called on the Lord, and the Lord then called on him to preach His word. It was a test, and many times we stumbled and fell, but the Lord was always there to pick us up and encouage us to press forward. Our ministry began in West Jasper, and we purchased property where we are now, our congregation built the church an

d soon we outgrew it, adding on to our church we built a new sancutary and have not stopped. God has been faithful, even when we have failed Him. Where the message is the same all the time, yet it is still fresh and vibrant, that is JESUS CHRIST AND HIM CRUCIFIED YET HE LIVES....

HELD BY GRACE
Tamar – a woman who understood what it means to walk in the promise of God.
GEN 38 is a messy story that seems, on its surface, too broken, but it shows us God works through broken, sinful, mistreated people – Not perfect ones.
Judah mistreats Tamar but appears righteous
Tamar was abused by Judah and appeared unrighteous.
God flips it – and Judah finally admits
“She is more righteous than I”
Tamar reveals that God’s redemption flows through the very places we think are too broken, too messy, or too shameful for Him to use.
Tamar is the FIRST woman listed in the genealogy of Christ in Matthew 1:3

HELD BY GRACE
Philippians 2:7 “But emptied Himself, taking the form of a servant…”
Jesus emptied Himself for us, teaching us to follow His footsteps.
This does NOT mean erasing who you are, or that you do not matter, or disappear,
What is means is we now are able to release our need to control, or need to be right, or win, or have our own way. It means we now begin to that trust God is going to show us a better way, with Him, as He uses us to spread the Gospel.

HELD BY GRACE
Gen 30 speaks about the ‘speckled flock’ of Jacobs. Jacob has yet to be named Israel, and he is still learning how to trust Jehovah.
These “speckled” flock is more than a flock of goats and sheep, it is clear picture of God’s ‘flock’ that is, indeed, speckled and flawed.
The ones who should not be chosen, they are imperfect, mixed, and ‘look different”
They are not ‘pure’ like the chief priests, the pharisees and leaders…..
God chooses who has the courage to listen to Him, HIM, not the world.
Do not be ashamed of your imperfections, embrace them.

Psalm 116:1-2
“I love the Lord, for He has heard my voice --- my appeal for mercy. Because He has inclined His ear to me, I will call on Him as long as I live”
What a comforting and peaceful Psalm.
There is NOTHING that I can add to increase the beauty of this Psalm, my words only cheapen it.

HELD BY GRACE:
When Jacob had the dream of the ladder, he was still young in faith, and when he woke he saw the LORD at top, saying, “ Look, I am with you, and I will watch over you wherever you go…”
And I thought how wonderful for Jacob to have that assurance – almost envying him, before another scripture came to mind, even more beautiful, because it applied to ME.
Philippians 1:6 “…He that began a good work in you will carry it on to completion, until the day of Christ Jesus.”
These words are for you as well, REJOICE!

Philippians 4:5
“…The LORD is near”
This means more, at least to me, than the fact the LORD’S coming is near.
The LORD is near, the LORD is here, and the LORD hears.
Like our gentleness from yesterday, we know the LORD is near. And that is not meant to be warning or a threat.
When we realize the LORD is near and be believe His is near, it offers us the encouragement and confidence to be the best we can be in His honor.
The LORD is near, He is always near, you are not alone…..

HELD BY GRACE
“Let your gentleness be apparent to all. The Lord is near”
‘gentleness’ is NOT weakness, it just the opposite, it is your STRENGTH. It proves how the LORD has taught us to stay CALM, when there is chaos all around us.
When we remain ‘gentle’ we are saying, out loud in a quiet way, that we are being held by God.
It shows up a patience with others rush, it shows up as softness when others snap, it is kind when others judge, and it is not hidden, it is plain for all to see, and not only see, but find comfort, hope, and healing.

Psalms 16:7
“I will bless the LORD who counsels me; even at night my conscience instructs me”
From the time you lay your head down, empty your worries, trials, and temptations of the day, and invite the LORD into your thoughts, let Him be your final thoughts before drifting off to sleep, it is these peaceful moments He can reveal to you your path.
Trust Him,
He loves you!

HELD BY GRACE;
Gen 15:6 tell us Abraham ‘believed the Lord, and He counted it to him as righteousness”
This, ‘belief’ was a process of growing, growing in grace and obedience. After some missteps and mistakes, Abraham is tested yet again, Gen 22 he is asked to sacrifice his beloved son, Isaac.
He does not complain, he obeys, and notice in chapter 22:5
“…WE will worship there and WE will be right back”
He must have went from:
TERROR – TRUST – CONFUSION – HOPE – RESLOVE.
Sometimes trusting God is difficult, and may seem impossible. Trust HIM anyway.

HELD BY GRACE:
Never let anyone tell you, that you are not good enough. Look in the mirror and see that you are YOU, a creation of God, Himself.
And He loves you, YOU. You do not have to DO anything for HIM to love you, He just does.
Think of Hagar, a slave girl, mistreated by her mistress, born a Gentile, cast out like her life did not matter, and she believed it as well, until God saw her.
GOD SAW HER. And she knew it. Read her words:
“Here, I have seen the One who sees me!”
GEN 16:13
He sees you too. He see you too!

HELD BY GRACE
Do not become bitter like Cain did, when his offering was not accepted as his brothers. Seek the LORD, ask Him what is acceptable, if we ignorantly do things, He will teach us, if we are only serving God in lip service, God will see it.
Do not be too proud to be corrected, instead master your sinful flesh, and have total victory.
GEN 4:7 “if you do what is right, will you not be accepted ? but if you refuse to do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires you, but you must master it”

Do you have unshakeable faith?
You can get it, Ps 15 gives you the recipe for attaining it and keeping it.
• Walk with integrity
• Practice righteousness
• Speak truth from your heart
• Slander no one
• Harm NOT your neighbor
• Never scorn your friend
• Honor those that fear the LORD
• Keep your oath
• Lends money with no interest
• Refuse a bribe against innocent.
So when the world shakes around you, you will not fear, because you are standing on solid ground, because you have followed His way!
