We’re excited to share a new addition coming to Camp Paron—The Cottage.

Currently being remodeled from the former assistant manager’s home, The Cottage is a 3-bedroom, 2-bath residence designed to provide a comfortable, peaceful, and more intimate lodging option for our guests.

While many groups utilize larger spaces like Flat Side Hotel and The Lodge, The Cottage will serve those who are looking for something smaller without sacrificing comfort or quality. It’s an ideal fit for:

• Smaller groups or leadership teams
• Ministry leaders seeking a place for rest and sabbatical
• Summer group use, including speakers, band members, or camp nurse

More than just a place to stay, our heart behind The Cottage is to create a space for rest, renewal, and focused time with the Lord. We believe it will serve as a quiet retreat within the camp, supporting both ministry and personal refreshment.

As we continue this renovation, we’re looking forward to seeing how God uses this space in the lives of those who stay here.

The Cottage will be a meaningful and much-needed addition to the lodging options at Camp Paron—and we can’t wait to welcome guests into it.

It's been a lot of fun hosting the Conway/Perry Association Spring Youth Retreat and Central Baptist, Jonesboro, for their Art of Marriage retreat this weekend.

It is always a joy and a pleasure to share what’s going on at Camp Paron. Today, I was invited to speak during the Missions Chapel at Baptist Prep. For several years, they have brought groups of students to serve and help with small projects. I was able to share how much of a blessing it is when groups volunteer at the camp, allowing our staff to focus on other projects. I also reminded them that being missional starts with saying yes and being available.

It's been a great week at Camp Paron! This is my third spring at Camp Paron and the third time that Baptist Prep has worked at the camp during their week of missions. This group did a fantastic job. They stained the swing posts, light posts, and hammock stand posts that were installed last spring. They pressure washed some of our sidewalks and bridge. They cleaned out and added more mulch to all the flower beds around Cross Timbers Chapel. We appreciate each group that chooses to volunteer their time to serve at the camp.

I realized today that we never updated our friends and followers on how we finished 2025. Mostly because we jumped right back into ministry in January. 118 people, from kids to senior saints, made professions of faith while at Camp Paron in 2025. Praise the Lord!

We have a very full calendar this year. It was recently pointed out that we only have three days in July when we do not have guests at the camp. We have many conferences and retreats ahead of us as we work toward hosting 10 weeks of summer camps. We are praying and trusting that God is going to do a work in the lives of people just like He did in 2025.

We enjoyed hosting the five groups that held conferences and retreats at Camp Paron in January and are grateful for the time spent in worship, fellowship and reflection. While three groups were unfortunately snowed out due to the winter storm, we were thankful to be able to reschedule two of those groups for later dates in February and March. We hope everyone was able to manage the winter weather with minimal issues and stay safe during the storm. As we move forward, we are excited and looking ahead with anticipation to welcoming the six groups scheduled to join us at Camp Paron in February.
