Here is a first look from above at JRC’s new outdoor labyrinth taking shape on our grounds.

The labyrinth will span 40 feet in diameter and is being created as a peaceful space for prayer, contemplation, and walking meditation for all who visit the Jesuit Retreat Center.

Concrete installation and walkways were completed by F. Buddie Contracting of Cleveland, Ohio. The design, engraving, and painting are being completed by Nathan Wiles of InnateCreations, LLC of Montgomery, Vermont.

We are excited to continue sharing the progress as this sacred space comes to life!

Update: The Pilgrims of Hope initiative continues to move forward at the Jesuit Retreat Center.

As part of this work, the statues of St. Ignatius and St. Joseph are being restored and will return to the grounds in the months ahead. Their return will be one meaningful part of a larger effort to complete the Pilgrim Trail across JRC’s beautiful 57 acres.

This initiative will create even more opportunities for prayer, reflection and peace throughout the grounds. We are grateful for all who continue to support this work, and we look forward to sharing more progress along the way.
