Parish Friends and Family,

You’re Invited to Celebrate 100 Years of Good Shepherd!

This Sunday, our entire parish family is invited to gather at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church for a very special celebration of 100 years of faith, friendship, ministry, and community.

There will be no worship at our other parish congregations that morning. Instead, we will come together for one special parish-wide and community-wide worship service as we celebrate this important part of our shared parish story.

Worship Begins at 10:30 AM
Our worship theme will be “The Church That Friends Built … and Are Building” as we give thanks for the generations who came before us, celebrate the friendships and ministries God is forming among us today, and look ahead with hope to what God will build next.

Sing with the Celebration Choir!
Past, present, and future choir members are all invited to sing with our Celebration Choir. Simply arrive at 10:00 AM for practice—no previous rehearsal required! Come as you are and add your voice to the celebration.

After Worship: Stay for the Celebration!
There will be food, fellowship, memories, activities, and opportunities to celebrate throughout the church and outside.

Bring a Memory
You are also invited to bring a favorite photo or two that captures a special memory of Good Shepherd. Help us fill the day not only with the big moments of our history, but with the personal stories, friendships, and memories that have made this church what it is.

Help Us Share the Work (Call for Volunteers)
We would also love for members of our other congregations to help us welcome, serve, and celebrate together.

Rather than asking anyone to volunteer for the whole event, we are looking for people willing to take a 20-minute shift during the celebration after worship. Volunteers will serve as floaters—helping refill drink dispensers and food tables, directing guests, checking the main floor and outdoor areas, and helping make sure everything is flowing smoothly.
