Our scripture for the sermon today at North Parma was Matthew 22:34-46. The two greatest commandments are love God and love your neighbor. Now go forth and love God with passion, prayer and intelligence. Love your neighbor with forgiveness, service and love. Love yourself with hope, joy and peace. Blessings to all.

The youth group and four adults spent Saturday afternoon at the CMU football game in Mt Pleasant. It was a perfect fall day and we went home with prizes and memories. Thank you to Denny and Vicki Lautzenheiser for funding this day!

Sunday night we enjoyed the youth group hayride and bonfire on a beautiful autumn night. Hot dogs and s’mores around the fire and then we lifted our prayers to God with lights.

We had our monthly Eat Together (ET) Wednesday. We had wonderful food, but the highlight, as always, was talking around the table. Come join us each month on the second Wednesday at North Parma Church. Bring a passing dish if you wish and bring your stories!

We left our church service today with the words: Now let us leave this place to fill our neighborhoods with peace to bring joy to those who mourn, to offer the heart of Christ to everyone.

Today was communion Sunday at North Parma. Pastor Luis reminded us that the whole idea of communion is sinners at the same table. We are called to treat each other with love and care. Don’t judge. Welcome all.

We had a wonderful time talking to people at our booth at Parma Day. What a wonderful community event! We also made $700 toward our roof project. Thanks people of Parma!

Last Sunday we had our first youth group meeting of the year. Back to School Night. Lots of fun and many laughs! Our Bible verse for the month is Exodus 20:12 - Honor your father and mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.
