We haven’t forgotten about our Jamaican brothers and sisters suffering in the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa. Somebody Cares and our partners have teams on the ground bringing essential items and working towards helping to rebuild people’s homes and lives, where there is no drinkable water or power.

Please consider sponsoring items on the list: https://a.co/9uSODMv

Today, we pause to thank God for YOU.

Your prayers, compassion, and generosity have been a lifeline of hope for families across our Somebody Cares Network this year.

As you gather around your table, may your home be filled with love, laughter, and the presence of the Lord who satisfies every heart with His peace.

Let This Be Our Prayer: Father, thank You for Your goodness and for the family of faith You’ve surrounded us with. Bless every person reading this message. Let gratitude overflow into generosity and kindness that reveals Your heart to the world.

Thank you for caring!

HALF OF EVERYTHING GONE!
Imagine waking up to the headline: “One storm wipes out half of the U.S. economy.” Not a recession. Not a slow decline. One disaster taking out the equivalent of $14 trillion overnight. That kind of loss has never happened in America. But when Hurricane Melissa hit Jamaica, that is exactly what happened on their scale: $9 billion in losses to a $19.5 billion economy.

It was the economic equivalent of watching half of the United States crumble in a single day. Jamaica may be small on the map, but its impact on the world is anything but. It has given us music, culture, hospitality, and a strength of spirit far bigger than its borders. And this is why Somebody Cares is responding—because when one part of the Body hurts, we move. We show up. We carry hope, compassion, and practical care where it’s needed most. Below is a first-hand update from our team on the ground as of yesterday.

Somebody Cares is mobilizing relief and volunteers to Jamaica to bring hope to the people of Jamaica. https://subsplash.com/u/-WWG4SM/give?fund_id=a15dfa22-5d86-4412-bae2-5d54b3ab50aa&frequency=once
