Two ways to learn at one beautiful Camp.

We are excited to introduce Homestead in the Woods, a new sister program to Homeschool in the Woods at Camp Rockfish!

Homeschool in the Woods blends adventure, nature, and hands-on learning.

Homestead in the Woods focuses on practical life skills like cooking, gardening, sewing, building and creating.

Both Programs were created to help children ages 5-15 learn, explore, and gain confidence while having fun at Camp Rockfish!

$40 each day from 9am - 2pm with all supplies and a hot lunch included!

A gift can be measured in numbers but its impact cannot.

Camp Rockfish is incredibly grateful for our continued relationship with Cumberland Community Foundation, Inc. and their generosity to children in our community. Earlier this year, the Foundation generously gave $5,000 from the Karen Parker Allen Memorial Endowment to fund a week of camp for children, in Cumberland County, who have a parent bravely battling cancer or who have recently experienced the loss of a parent to cancer. Last week Kayleigh Burrage, our Office administrator, and Mackenzie O'Neal, our Programs Coordinator, were graciously asked to attend their Cumberland Community Foundation Summertime Kids luncheon.

During her speech Mackenzie shared a story of what impact their gift truly has. Her words captured something we see at camp every summer:

"This year, because of the grant that made it possible for children in Cumberland to attend camp free of charge, that little girl was able to be here when she needed it most.

A grant can look like numbers on a page. But in reality, it looks like a child finding joy in the middle of heartbreak. It looks like friendships formed around a campfire. It looks like counselors sharing Christ's love through simple acts of kindness. It looks like hope when hope is needed most.

Thank you for believing that every child deserves a place where they are seen, loved, and belong. Thank you for making stories like hers possible."

That is what generosity can do.

Behind every gift is a story. Behind every dollar is an opportunity. Behind every opportunity is a child who has a chance to experience a place where they are seen, loved, and reminded they belong.
