We're feeling pretty grateful today; Only a couple of days left before Rockfish dives into summer 2026! Phillip Black, a member of Haymount UMC came by today and graciously donated two beautiful canoes for our kids. This is definitely a sign of good things to come for camp!

Rockfish Camp and Retreat Center was awarded $5,000 through the Summer Time Kids Grant program from Cumberland Community Foundation, Inc! This grant is to help send children from Cumberland County to Day Camp programs this summer. A huge thank you to Keith Cannon for sharing some time with us! Our staff had a blast hanging out with one of the Board Members last night and could not stop talking about it at Breakfast. He taught our staff some valuable lessons, games, and most importantly: folk dancing to use with our campers for the upcoming summer!

What a great day at Rockfish! Thank you Gateway District friends for sharing your gifts with us today. Boats were cleaned, the pool deck is ready and camp is looking great!

We’re looking for the last few staff to complete our Summer Camp team for 2026!

Spend your days outside, lead games that get a little chaotic (in the best way), go swimming and zip-lining, and end the day with stories you’ll still be telling years from now. You’ll build real leadership skills, meet great people, and be part of something that matters.

If you’ve got energy, a good sense of humor, and don’t mind a little dirt and sunscreen, you’ll fit right in 🌲☀️
