Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church—Parkton, MD We exist to make disciples of Jesus Christ. A changless Word for a changing world. He is the light shinning in the darkness. We exist for you.

Lutherans believe that the Word of God, while it is the Bible, is first and foremost a person, Jesus the Christ. He is the Word of God come down from heaven, the Word that takes away the sin of the world, the Word that will endure for all time. But, He is not merely a figure of the past, He comes to us today. In our baptism we were washed into Him, into His death, so that we might also live with

Him in His resurrection. We believe that every time we celebrate the Lord's Supper He is truly present in, with, and under the bread and wine. All of this is to say that we are a people who live by the Word of promise. It is one that reminds us that no matter what life brings we have a guarantee that it will not have the final say. Not even death itself can overcome this Word of promise! It is the promise that through His death and resurrection Jesus Christ paid for the sins of the world and brings life eternal. We hear that Word, are washed in it, and taste it. It is the Word that brings us together and the one by which we live. This may be the first time you've walked through our doors or maybe you have been a friend of ours for years, either way, you matter to us. You matter because you are a part of our community. You matter because you have breath in your lungs. You matter to us because you matter to God. As a Lutheran church we believe that God has called us together to be his hands and feet in this place. We are called not just to take care of our own, but of the community into which we have been called. You are part of that community and that means you are our responsibility. You matter to us, how can we help? If you would like to know more about us please join us at one of our upcoming special services or one of our regular meeting times.
